Who has a Metris?

Anybody here have a Metris?

I am interested in opinions.

And I ask the obvious question: has anybody found a reliable way to convert the rear seats to "club seating" face to face, in the style of the euro-only V-Klasse?

I rode in a V-Klasse in Austria, awesome machine, probably €100k+. Wish they brought them in.

Anyway, any advice appreciated.

I had Metris once, I got a shot and it cleared up. No wait, that was something else.

What is Metris?

Stupid review....

It's not a minivan... never even intended to be one.

It's a cargo van... this is a passenger version for hotel shuttles, etc.

Really? I saw one on the showroom floor at local MB dealer, it was definitely a passenger van. Unless I'm mixing up my model names, which is entirely possible. The build quality was horrendous, just embarrassing. Built in some communist country, IIRC.

I don't understand this post. These are currently on the market here in the U.S. For around $30k. What am I missing?

Wow, just watched some rather brutal reviews. What a POS.

A lot of the Uber, Lyft and Via guys have them.
There is a looming transmission issue plaguing owners. Like the PCar's 'pinned pipes' issue, it's gonna happen, just a matter of when.

That review may be the worst I've heard for a car.
He ripped it.

He ripped it huge. Big time, and well deserved. WTF? Splitting hairs that its a 'passenger van', and not a 'mini van'?.

Come on MB. WEAK. And you know it.

Yeah I rode in one with Via the other day.

Doesn't sound like we have any owners here.

By "this is a cargo van, not a passenger van" I think what the poster meant is that the passenger versions, while nice enough to be in, are going to essentially ride, handle and feel like a cargo van, not like a minivan. They do fill the middle spot between a Transit Connect and a Transit perfectly, but at the prices they go for we (work) usually end up ordering a Transit instead.

Still a crappy way for a hotel shuttle to get people from place to place with seats like that.
