				Make-up Mirrors

I expect the drivers of the new pickups on the road are fabulously coiffed. The trucks have makeup mirrors that Liberace would love on the front headlights. Its like an arms race to see which manufacturer can put on the most LED lights. In my day we had two headlights and had to go to highbeams with a foot switch and we liked it. Get off my lawn and tell those clouds I have been shouting at that I mean it this time. Do they serve a purpose or is it to give a "big rig" appearance?

It's been a long time since an honest work truck was produced. Wind up windows, minimum trim, plastic covered bench seat, rubber floor mats, just something to haul stuff. No..today we have to have $60,000 "coboy Caddys"

Funny, or sad I guess, but a pretty basic 2500 is ~50k now. Not much cowboy caddy there. I do like power windows though. I guess I'm soft, too many miles with no AC and a vinyl bench turned me on to cloth seats too. | ||

It does improve safety in that other vehicles and pedestrians will have something to catch their eye.

I'm all for anything that makes me more visible to the distracted drivers ready to pull into my path. I have noticed that the running lights on my cab make people look twice (thinking it might be a semi) and that pause is just long enough for me to be too close for them to run the gauntlet. I also run full headlights on every car I drive even in bright sun. | ||
