The secret dream of many here

I would buy it for the current $5500 bid, but with 5.5 days remaining in the auction, it won't stay there !

Are you serious? If someone gave that to me, I'd sell it and buy something I actually liked.

This. If it were a gift I could not sell or regift...I would not even bring it home. No room in my garage for that and I sure would not park it outside where people could see it.

I do like that particular body style of mustang. I do like the color and the wheels. I'm not excited about the bullitt in particular. It's just not special enough compared to other mustangs. If I was going to go for a mustang, it would be more like one of the much newer really special models, like the GT350R, and wasn't the boss302 supposed to be pretty special a few years back. I'd want one of the the current pinnacle models, not one of the models that's really not that different from a regular GT. I could throw some wheels on a regular GT for the same look.

No offense to OP but how does a modern mustang rate BaT?
That site must really be slipping.

The Mustang is a nice car but the auctions to the right and lower all look a bit more interesting to me.
The Mustang is poor in the snow, and as a summer car..........well it's not a convertible or Targa so why bother? Now this mini-mini van from Japan on the same page looks interesting. 1992 Suzuki Every Van 4WD 5-Speed https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-suzuki-every-2/

Poor SOB previous owners sat on that thing hoping it would appreciate. Oops. I’d daily drive it but nothing more, it’s just another Mustang GT.

I had a couple of "65s and liked them quite a bit...and liked the model up through the early 70s until they got so big. Since then, not so much. Maybe I just grew up (and still like styling of the vintage modes due to nostalgia). Modern ones do nothing for me.

Paul I know you’ve got a thick skin on this mustang business....hope all is well for you.
Ran into a guy on a gun forum talking beemers and tom bridgers name came up. I feel so old some days. Fun times of yesterday and the neat people we meet in our walk through our passions....

mod motored mustang is definitely not my dream car secret or otherwise. However considering you can get one for like 8k you could do alot worse in the fun per dollar ratio.
If somebody pays a huge premium (and I don't think anyone will) for a nearly new one, they will get what they deserve. Sign me up for a boss 302 in that body style
