Looking for the right wheel on my F150....

This is a crazy thought, but I’ve been looking for a different set of wheels for my 2014 F150 and the wheels I really like are on the 2014 GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra was my second choice when I bought my Ford. It’s not the size but the style and I just haven't found it anywhere.

Would it be crazy to buy wheel adapters to install the GMC wheels on my Ford? The center cap would be blank. Of course, I want it to look similar in size to my original wheel, but maybe with some outside offset.

My current wheel. 18x7.5 44mm offset

The wheel I'm looking for. 20x9. 27mm offset.

I like the original. It does seem a little crazy to introduce adapters into the mix. I would peruse some of the aftermarkets to see if I could find something similar that fit natively.

Really easy to introduce vibration via adapters. Why not just find a similar aftermarket option? There are hundreds of options available for the F150.

The adapter is the part I don't like. Especially if it isn't hub centric.

I've found a lot of wheels in black for the Ford, which seems to be the color to use now-a-days.

I've just always liked this wheel pattern. It's similar to the one I had on my 930 with BBS wheels.

I haven't found any used yet, except online and they're way too much money. That alone will probably keep me from getting them.

I'm thinking if you do it, you should change all four. Not just the right one.

Reminds me of the guy who got caught in a conveyor at work and it ripped his left arm and left leg off. He's all right now.

Sorry, long day.

My first thought was a wheel on the right side fell off.
GMC wheel on a Ford? No. Adapters? Not no but HECK NO (for several reasons).

If I wanted the GMC, I would’ve bought in 2014. I like the wheels from the GMC only. Besides, my truck is almost paid off

Seems the obvious answer would be an aftermarket wheel

He was brother of the guy who died in the High Gloss French Polish factory. He accidently fell into a vat of the stuff and drowned. Sad, but he did have a beautiful finish.

OP those Sierra wheels are one of the best looking designs in the history of American trucks IMHO. But they work in part because of the shape of the GM trucks of that era. GM was on a roll for a while there with designs.

But Ford also ha some fantastic wheel designs.

What you are liking in part is the deeper dish of the lower offset wheels. you're just not gonna get that in a factory wheel.

Or the guy who worked at the brewery and drowned in the vat of beer. When the Brewmaster told his wife she said "Well, at least he died quickly". The Brewmaster says "Well, I don't know about that. He got out to use the bathroom 5 times!".
