So Tabs...
Just wondering if you're related to the Rothschilds. 'Cuz everyone's gettin' fat right now, which seems to be against the family's core values.

Simpson and Bolles went home, Sen Colburn of OK went home, Drunkenmiller and Ken Lagone shut up, Paul Ryan is going home. They found that they were beating on a dead horse, as people just do not listen nor apparently care. The situation has not changed. U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time This shows 21.4T in interest bearing Federal debt, 785B deficit for 18 so far, 104.5% debt to gross GDP. The balance sheets show the US has total assets of 137T USD < 21.4 Fed debt, 71T private debt, 3T State & Local debt, 114T unfunded liabilities and 6T inunfunded Local pensions for apx 214T in debt> 137T minus <214T> = <77T> All on 20T in income per year. As a society the USA is BK...that means every one of you is collectively BK. See the ubiquitous "They" have not tagged you personally but have insidiously robbed you collectively so that you would not have to feel any pain of deprivation. You bear responsibility for not facing up to the facts. "They" have told you what you want to hear.* So keep on tell me how" fat" you all are becoming...This is a text book case of being delusional...of .being cray cray... and you wonder why all this shyte is happening around you in politics, on the streets and in the schools...when you are cray cray, you do cray cray shyte... It is the reality of the numbers vs what you are being told, what the manipulations yield and show in your bank accounts ( Madoff sent out glowing financial reports that showed how rich his clients were becoming, and he would pay out requests from the incoming funds of his new chumps). Americans in particular are a BK society and it shows in your actions. * Remember Carter told you "to put on a sweater," he lost to Reagan who told you how great you all were (just put it on the credit card)..job security lies in telling you what you want to hear..that was the lesson learned..and they have kept the music playing ever since. That is what the history books are going to say.

"Solutions"...what "solutions" are there when you have Stage 4 cancer? Maybe that is the reason why everybody has stopped paying attention to the debt and deficit...it is of no use...you might as well party like it is 1999.
That I think is the underlying reason why Ryan is going home.

Enjoy it while you can! Remember, takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory! However, when I started watching the Dow, it was about 800! Now it is 26000! That is quite an increase over the last 50+ years! No matter what happens now, it has treated me well over the years!

Look at Greece, they said we can't even make payments on the debt anymore, and the EU to keep them afloat lends them even more money. Do you think that they even have an expectation of being repaid?

What Tabs has his funds invested in is no body's business but his and the IRS! Either he is who/what he says or he's not. If he is, good for him, if not, then that's his problem, not ours. In any event, he does make some good points now and then!

Colts and Fords..........
A good analogy! There is an old saying, If you want to collect and make money, buy old Colts and old Fords. I wish I had bought a new Colt Python in the 1960's when they were $175.00! Now they are 2 grand and up! And the 2 grand is just for a shooter quality gun! I also had a chance to buy a Jaguar XKE coupe for $2500 back in the early 1970's. With a little love, that same car today would be in the $60-$75K range! I did buy a Kugerand at $175 and sold it for $800 when gold spiked in the 1980's!

Later she said, "That even the President of BA didn't know how fast they could shut the financial system down." Fifteen minutes and the US system was on lock down, Europe was slower so the FED had to loan them 60B to keep them solvent. That is how fast cash was pulled out of the system. If you remember the stock market was shut down for a week as a cooling off period. Later it was US military action in Afghan that restored confidence, the FED lowering interest rates 7 times and GM offering 0% financing..an appeal to greed. That tells you just how precarious the financial system is in the world... The second time was when the DOW was down by 1000 pts in free fall, I thought I can be wiped clean out, I saw the abyss opening up. Then I saw a Colt Walker sell for 1M at auction that day and said whew! That whole period was just abject fear time...finally in March of 2009 I came to a point where I was having trouble containing the fear and thought seriously about pulling my money out of Equities..just how much pain can you stand (that was capitulation day for the world)...That day was the absolute bottom of the market and from the next day on it has re-inflated itself. The whole thing about it is that I never pulled my money out of Equities. Fear is a useful tool that should be paid attention to, it is the body's way of saying PAY ATTENTION..you are in danger Will Robinson. It is then what you do with that fear, and what your actions are that count. I recognize this stuff for what it is... Bottom line they gave you TAX REFORM, but they didn't give you the other necessary part of the equation and that is Entitlement Reform. Without Entitlement Reform you are fked. There is the reason why Ryan is going home, he gave up on trying to get Entitlement Reform... There is no political will on either side , no matter how the Republicans like to talk about it...they ain't fkin goin to do it....that means your nation/society is gona spend itself into oblivion. Last night I read a little article on the FAUX app that said 40% of American families have trouble making ends meet. In spite of all the good economic news 40% are having trouble paying the utility bills, putting food on the table, and are delaying medical care . In spite of having jobs.. It is a reversion to the mean of human history economically, or as I have so eloquently put it before, a return to the economic demographic of 1910. A small Robber Baron Class of super wealthy, a smallish MC and a large working poor class (where opportunity for social mobility disappears). Well hoo haa that is exactly what that article was saying when 40% of American families are having trouble making ends meet.... You need those 40% of families to feel comfortable and fat so that they can support a burgeoning Global economy by spending. No money means no spending (credit only goes so far) as we found out) and that means a moribund and a deflationary economy. It all spells trouble..

It is a good bet that sooner or later people who are going hungry are going to get mad and start to blame someone for their whoa's. Enter Trump, Bernie and Cortez. It is called blame the greedy and rich capitalists... Blame the Jews, the Royalty, the Rich, the politicians (swamp), illegals, China or the Russians....pick one.
If you know history, are paying attention and are the least bit savvy it is no mean feat to read the handwriting on the wall. It has happened so many times before...

Tax Revenue needs to go substantially up AND spending needs to be substantially reduced to have any hope of making a big dent in the debt with in a couple generations.
We are in for tough times at some point though I don't pretend to predict how and when it will materialize. We have had this same harsh reality for many years now, but if you would have change you porfolio based on it you would have screwed yourself for sure. I am reminded of kids with credit cards making minimum payments and applying for more......
