I need some help with Amazon Prime streaming
Okay, I’m stumped. My wife shares an Amazon Prime with her brother. The family plan I think.
I’m a HUGE jack Ryan fan. I noticed the are revamping him in an upcoming show. I’m in. I have Apple TV. I also have the Amazon Prime Video icon. My wife is logged in. Seems like that is all I need. Why can’t I play a show? I get that prompt, “ how do I watch this show?” I click on it and it tells me Prime members get to watch. Okay......???? I don’t get it. Does my BIL need to allow my wife to watch movies in his account. I would get my own account, but this is the only show I’m interested in.

That’s just it. I can go to settings and log my wife out.
It says: you are logged on as...... do you want to log out? ![]()

I don't think you (or your wife) are logged in.

Are you using your BIL’s account? Same user name and password?
IIRC, Netflix only allows so many users at one time. Is Amazon the same? BTW. I’m looking forward to watching it too. |

There is no Amazon family plan. Is this something that she had for years, and doesn't use? They basically got rid of the "share your Amazon stuff with anyone you want" a few years ago. It's very possible that she *thinks* that she has access to his account, but she doesn't. There is a "household" account, which shares access but also shares things like credit cards, and that requires that both sides go through some sort of verification, maybe she never completed that? One way or the other, it's really meant for families, under the same roof, hint hint...

Damn. I thought it was allowed.
Okay. I’ll pay the ransom.

Amazon Prime is worth every penny.
I order so much from them that my rewards alone more than pay for the year, then toss in the free shipping. Plus the other perks like Prime Video, personal cloud storage, no brainier. I even have my toilet paper shipped on auto replenish.

I think devices must be registered, though I don't remember doing this for my DVD player. First try going to your account, select Account & Lists | Video Settings | Your Devices to start.
