Lame-ass Car Commercial

Acura is now using a horrible cover of Sympathy for the Devil in their ads. Makes me want to hurl food at the screen.

Here we go:

I hate it when they use iconic rock in ads. My friend who co-wrote “Short Shorts” back in ‘58 was paid very well every year when some cosmetic company built a 10 year ad campaign around the song, so I see why authors allow it.
The worst current ad is by Hyundai (I think). A little girl talking to the camera looks and sounds like a chipmunk chewing nuts. I can not understand a word she says.

The music is was why I listened to the commercial.

The music just does not in any way resemble the innocent little white SUV.
Is the pure white suv evil?

Are you a badass if you drive that suv?

The commercial to me was about as intimidating as a baby wearing football shoulder pads.

I bet in kitchens at house parties young fathers are gloating to anyone that will stay and listen about how masculine their suv or mini van is because of the music played on its commercial.

That's setting the bar pretty low! Still can't believe a global car company has commercials as bad as Chevy.

The worst thing about that Acura commercial isn't the music. You'll notice in the intro they flash the original NSX, then the Integra Type R, then to go to advertising......a crossover SUV.

That was my thought, too. Didn't mean to upset any fans.

Check out the Samantha Fish version. She starts out having to plead with people people not to leave as they start playing, then ends up setting the place on fire.
