Not a 'fun romp' or in a Porsche... I'm a blues/rock guy but been listening to classical music radio on my daily commute... keeps me from killing people.

What no rap? Must be a bunch of old white guys. HAHAHA.
I listen to something like nwa, some kind of hardcore rap. BUT...i also like Metallica at times I think it just depends on the mood and mindset at the time. Sorry i brought RAP into the old timer thread. Lol Steve |
Just good rock & roll. Steppenwolf, early J. Geils, creedance. Just no music about pickup-trucks,
grandaddys farm. No Nashville, no hair band stuff, no rap about *****es and hoes. Some music is great when you are by yourself in your sports car. My favorite is a band you all have never heard of. A 1969 recording called "Stink" by McKenna, Mendolson & Mainline. Perfect for me at my age, carvin' up the twisties. |
George Thorogood - One bourbon, bad to the bone
Queen - I'm in love with my car Acdc- back in black Who - my wife Foreigner -Blue Monday Rush- Spirit of the radio Ozzy - crazy train Fleetwood Mac - Oh well Van Halen - Panama, Drop Dead Legs Zztop - Nationwide Doors - Waiting for the sun Yello- Oh Yeah! Sheryl Crow-Steve McQueen Led Zeppelin - No body's fault but mine, when the levee breaks Deep purple - child in time Black Sabbath - sweat leaf Pink Floyd - learning to fly Rollin Stones - ventilator blues, Can you hear me knocking Joe Walsh - life's been good, rocky mountain way Bob Seger - Her Strut |
I was in high school in the early 80s, so for road trips Def Leppard's "High n Dry" or "Pyromania" or AC/DC.

Into the Air tonight is a sure fire winner
One vision by Queen And If I like it, I do it by Jamiroquai is bound to be a poor excuse for the high speed ticket defense in front of the Judge... |
I make playlists that are generally heavy in the bottom end, like Road to Hell, or Ventilator Blues, but I like to be surprised, too, so I'll throw Unchained Melody or Solitary Man into the mix, just in case it happens to be exactly right. It happens more frequently than you might think, especially at night. I also make sure that I have more than enough music. in case I have to skip quickly thru 10 songs that don't fit the mood.
This is two screenshots from a 300 song playlist I put together at the beginning of summer for a 850 mile roadtrip. I've been listening to this quite a bit since then and it's time to start putting something new together for a trip I've planned for November. (And, just to be sure, I've still got a lot of windshield time where there is nothing but engine and tires and the wind around the A pillars for the soundtrack) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538250631.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1538250646.jpg |
BECK.
Like the Speedster. Brilliant artist. Great driving music: Girl, Black Tambourine, Devil's Haircut, and, of course, Where It's At. |
