What is your goto driving music.

Wondering what people goto for a fun romp in their P-car. I have been enjoying Death by Diamonds and Pearls.... I first heard in used in a lite speed Porsche video and it just stuck as a Porsche anthem for me.

I’ve been on an ELO kick lately. It came outta nowhere.

crustychief 09-19-2018 06:16 PM

Rush, any song.

JackDidley 09-19-2018 06:25 PM

Beatles White

I took the radio out of my 930.

The exhaust was all I needed.

Steve Earle, Guitar Town.

Drbraunsr 09-19-2018 06:38 PM

Creedence

Whatever is in my iPod. (Yes an iPod.). Though I do feel that these four songs out of my playlist are great driving songs:

This Charming Man - The Smiths
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
I Think I'm Paranoid - Garbage (maybe because it was in the first Gran Turismo)

I suppose the most cliche is Highway Star by Deep Purple.

I put a factory radio delete in my hot rod S10. No tunes needed.

I listen to a variety of music when I'm driving an appliance, but if i'm in an interesting car like one of my Porsches I'd rather listen to the car. None of my Porsches have sound systems.

Driving... as in the type that requires deep concentration... no music.

Midrange or just going point A to B, Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels, Creedence, ZZTop, Stones, Bruce Hornsby, and anything that qualifies as uptempo blues works well for me.

Once upon a time, I used to enjoy this as I was going up the onramp on the way outta town...

Currently listening to Pink Floyd "Momentary Lapse of Reason", and usually have Rush, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin in the car with me as well.

Anything that pops up on my Pandora Led Zeppelin channel. The other day I was cruising around jamming to Ted Nugent Stranglehold. I never really listened to music in my 911 because I hated the sound system, then I added an under the seat sub and love listening to it.

I have a blend of rock n roll, and jazz. I'm not into any 80s music. Radio: I'm a loyal WXRT listener from the time they went on the air in the early 70s. Stored music: I have several thumb drives.

Rtrorkt 09-20-2018 06:45 AM

a quick set, you'll get the idea

In the Porsche I don't.

Wide variety but if I happened to be say, 'driving with enthusiasm', the tunes were off. Nowadays I'm apt to be listening to the news in my truck more than music. Spotify did come to the rescue.

The guitar solo at the beginning of "Stranglehold" is my phone ringtone.

I listen to the Pandora Led Zeppelin channel at home.....but too many loud commercials.
