Tiger wins #80
His first win in five years and after four back surgeries. Good job.

Good job indeed! I counted him down and out not long ago. Nice to see him prove me wrong. Fun to watch the aging veteran have another good day in the sun..

He had to capitulate and come to the place where he thought he would never win another one again...you can call it hitting bottom..now he ain't gona be the same as he was...cause now he is a mere mortal..but he will win one here and there...
It wasn't his swing, it wasn't his back, it wasn't a lack of motivation...it was his own arrogance that done him in...he thought he was God on a golf course. His wife shattered his illusion when she hit that windshield with a golf club.

I agree. He does seem like a changed person (at least in his TV interviews). Like he's been humbled and is not as arrogant as he once was.

Tabs is spot on in the "head games", but misses on the back issues aspect imo. Not a Tiger fan per se, not a golfer either, but watched him in his heyday....
I NEVER, ever gave him a smowball's chance of getting his head back on straight, recovering from obvious physical issues, and ever win again. Well...Tiger proved me wrong....that's why he was also special....I reckon he still is ![]() Tiger is human, made some mistakes, hit the " bottom", then recovers...kudos to him...that's the "stuff of champions". Even if he never wins another....I respect that. |

Well done Tiger. I never thought he would come back so well. Yesterday his game was close to perfection. Perhaps his private life is better now.....

He's still a royal POS in my eyes. And, his new GF is a bit aesthetically challenged.

That is pretty harsh. Golf is a popular sport both from a player and a spectator point of view for many people. Regards "his ugly GF" comment from you reflects on you badly.

He was not injured when his wife broke his windshield and started losing..so you can NOT BLAME AN INJURY FOR HIS LOSING.... Those injuries came LATER after the fact....Why because he was out of synch with himself...and was flopping around like a fish outa water trying everything he could think of to get back in the groove of being a God on the golf course. Call that trying tooo hard. It is only when he reconciled himself to being a mere mortal that he got back to basics. To reconcile yourself you have to basically give up the ghost of ever winning again..you have to admit to yourself that you aint the greatest where your shyte don't stink. Tiger had a rep of not talking to people who didn't have piles and piles of money... You have to capitulate into despair before you can rebound...BTW that happens all the time in Equities... There ain't nothin strange about this...it is the way it works if you are payin attention....SAVVY???? PS The physical issues just compound the problems...it makes it more difficult to come back, because you now have a limitation on your physical ability where as before you did not... Now you have another factor to deal with..yet those limitations did not stop him from winning again now did it? So what changed? A reconciliation with himself.

If you are visceral kind O guy who only thinks that what happens is what you can see or touch...you are missing about 75%* of what & why things transpire in the world... It make you a sheep who is ready to be eaten for lunch...one dumb mtherfker..
"For Horatio there is more in heaven and on earth than meets the eye..." So much is in the complexity of nuance and detail... * I am being generous at 75%, some think it is 90%.

Some people might question my veracity??????Is he just a bag full of shyte who don't know what the fk he is talkin about? Or does he really know what he is talking about? The SMART GUY will will ask one pertinent question*....Can he explain how it works???? The proof is in being able to explain it...so that all the pieces of the puzzle come together in an operating fashion.
By explaining it shows that you have operational knowledge (familiarity) of how it works.. I explain everything. I show you why it is so.... You may come to the right conclusion about sumthin but if you can not show how and why it works that way you don't have an operational familiarity with your subject..which means you do not really know shyte. You are winging it and soon or later are going to fk up...and make a mistake. You will miss a detail that would otherwise alter your conclusion. You might say that is why hands on experience is more important than learning it from a book. *If you do not ask that one pertinent question, then you are one dumb mther fker...deaf dumb and blind... a waste by consuming valuable oxygen. Put your Dunce caps on Boyz...

As I said cut and dry. It is about delineation, it is this or that, switch on switch off...no mystery, it like a shark that can smell blood in the water and go right to it....that is how quick it has become for me...
Sometimes things are a mystery (hidden) I can spot the what but the why requires a few more details (information)...to be able to put the puzzle together.. And I am always looking for something that I have overlooked, and I take into account my own personal bias and add or subtract...that out of the equation...I call that weighing it out..
