I have learned that earbuds with my own music are effective at blocking unwanted outside music.

I do miss being as aware of the outside world, but there are times it is the best thing to do.

I have been keeping close to home this year, focusing on working out and sleeping. I'd forgotten this solution as I hadn't been anywhere I needed it lately.

Trance?

There are too many new styles for me to recall them all.

Personally what you describe is what I call "wonky music".

I am guessing Trance or Chill House.

I listen to Sirius Chill channel at work a lot.

I discovered this group because of them.

I also listen to this live stream at my desk at work often.

Shingo Nakamura is a Japanese DJ who I like to listen to a lot too.

Finally, I have been a huge Deadmau5 fan for many years, you tend to hear his mellower stuff over sound feeds in restaurants and coffee shops too.

Auto tune

I’m a big fan of house music for background music. My wife says it makes her anxious, so it’s fun to flick it on in the car.

Jim check out Hernan Catanio on podcasts

LOL I just searched him and found him on You Tube have him playing now.

My wife does not like House at all, I am always listening to it. She is really into the Blues, so I get to listen to a lot of that and like it too.

Thanks!!

Chinese Orchestral Death Metal will be the next big thing.

Never heard Chinese death metal orchestra before... but I'd rather listen to this. Sounds much better without the screamo:

American music is today what it wasn't when America mattered.
If you really want to know what is America's voice is today... You will listen to
Jackson Taylor, Ward Davis Chris Night, Whitey Morgan, Frank Foster, Ray Willie Hubbard and Bryan Bingam.
To all you Pelicanites that know everything all the time about all the great music... Here is a change from the redundant music you keep posting for acceptance

This is Americana music..

OP was asking what kind of Music he was hearing in stores. while I too appreciate a good country song and enjoy many many kinds of music, I am not sure we were in need of a lecture on what good music is.

Maybe you meant to post this in the Kanye thread?

flatbutt 10-03-2018 02:53 PM

That's why I so often turn to the Three Bs, Bach, Beethoven and the Beatles.

Rapewta 10-03-2018 03:37 PM

I was trying to tell music aficionado's... this is not "country music."

Listen to the Jackson Taylor Band. They can't take New Country and respect Old Country but
tell you straight up.... they don't try to emulate that kind of music.

Delta Notch I forgot to mention him.

Here is a melodic 8 hour mix, yes he mixes for 8 hours, I play this when I am going to be in the office all day.

Well damn, seems copyright got him, the 8 hour is gone, here is a 1 hour mix that is similar, if you look in the comments you can DL the 8 hour, people had it saved. It was really good.

I listen to mixfmradio.ru on Radio Garden once in a while. It's in Yakutsk, Russia in Siberia. Strangely it's all in English. Check it out - mixfmradio.ru/.

Acquired taste, felt the same not too long ago. Now I enjoy it.
