Vintage Cars In The Wild
On a drive home from our Veterinarian’s office, I took a side road sort of by accident. Off to the right, these caught my eye. Not sure who owns the land but no one stopped me from taking a few pics. This is about 3 miles from home. Had no idea it was there. Enjoy:

Maybe. IHC made an airport car that was very similar.
Based on the shape of the front fender I think you are right about the Checker.

I work out in West Texas, the arid climate has helped with preserving these, no one cares about them so here they sit year after year.

 I went with my buddy to pick up this Model A yesterday. He wants the body to build a hot rod. The widow he bought it from has 6 or so A's and T's in similar condition, a Crosley roadster and a few old bulldozers, as well as piles of motors, transmissions, grills, fenders etc. I didn't think to take photos while I was in the buildings.
