Oops - of course you are right. My 15/45 ratio = 1/3. Total brain fart on my part, I meant to say "equals about three teeth". Unless, of course, you are from Arkansas, where no one has three teeth...

36mm and new stand? presumably a single sided swing arm then?

no. i dont have a center stand tho.

the primary sprocket is held on by a 36mm nut.

A very helpful site to evaluate gearing changes

The thing to remember is that changing final drive changes all the gears by the same %
If top is raised by X% then so are all the other gears

like this:

i have tabs on the swingarm already tapped and ready to go from the factory.

Imagine my surprise when I took a customer’s 900SS for a test ride after their 1st service when I was a Ducati mechanic in the early 90’s. After riding many stock ones, I wasn’t expecting to stand one straight up into a wheelie after the owner had done what many magazines suggested, add a couple teeth to the rear sprocket.

72mph = 5000 rpm

A ringing endorsement to going one up in the front.

+1, adding to the front for a taller ratio reduces the cordial action at the driving sprocket. A general rule is to have 17 teeth or more if possible.
