Can we have a non-PARF discuession about the current bomb mailings?

Without the PARF mud-slinging what do we know?
I'm hearing 10 packages were found?
At least some of them had stamps but no post mark?
At least one was 'returned to sender'?
Only sent to those who are anti-Trump?
What else do we know?

This is a very big deal no mater what side of the isle you are on.

Yea, it is a big deal. The good news is he (or she) is a totally bad bomb maker. It will not take too long to catch him. With that many bombs is a short time, he has been seen, captured on video, or screwed up and bought something with a traceable serial number, or left a fingerprint.

He is a fool for sure. He will likely be captured soon.

Okay, medium to big deal.

Listening to CNN now and it doesn't sound like these were actual bombs.
Although they wouldn't come right out and say that.

(Doing well Bob, life is as busy as usual. Thanks for asking)

Can't really have a good discussion until more is known, but this won't stop the media from speculating 24/7 until something comes along to change the discussion.

What I found interesting is that on the news last night they showed one of the 'bombs' being transported through NYC in the back of a truck, undetonated. Who or why would you do that? Would that not be a safety concern?

Second, according to USPS rules, these are considered 'packages'. Even at 1 ounce, the minimum cost to send a first-class 'package' is $3.50. They have shown several of these being 'sent' with just 6 stamps on them ($3 value). So did they go through the USPS system without adequate postage? Or, since they were not postmarked, did they even go through the mail system at all?

The stamp thing is interesting. I don't know how many of the packages they have shown but at least one wasn't post marked.

Yeah, I got one star-ed.

Someone out there is a genius that has figured out how to mail 10 packages all over the country and get the USPS to deliver them all on the same day.

Bombs aside, I am very impressed with that feat.

I cannot get a check to arrive somewhere on time, ever.

Thanks for that Paul.

I like this statement; "It’s like we’re living in some sort of absurdist parody of 24."
So true.

If I were delivering bombs:
1) I would not use the mail where it could potentially be stopped before reaching the intended target, and
2) I would make the package appear as though it arrived via mail, so that the intended target would treat it as ordinary mail.

It is unsurprising to me that the packages had stamps but were not postmarked. The coordinated arrive day, would indicate multiple parties involved, I would think.

I'm guessing a group of frustrated supa-liberal college age antifa-kids,
putting stamps on packages to make them look more realistic;
hand delivering to said addresses to generate a news cycle about white male conservative hate-bombers.
Many in said group will be minority women and slightly pasty formerly-bullied men.
Many will live in their parents homes, few will have jobs.

Most will be caught and we won't hear a damn thing about it in the news or see pictures of them.

Didn't at least one of them go through the mail and get returned to sender?

Someone wants it to be a big deal. Whoever thought of this, and sponsored this activity wanted these bombs to be discovered (unexploded). I can't hardly wrap my mind around some disgruntled taxpayer devising this plan, and carrying it out without detection, so this leaves me with the belief that one of the political parties is behind this nefarious attempt.

Totally agree with sammyg2......"Fake bombs, fake deal, designed to manipulate the sheeple"

Yes and that one arrived back to sender on the same day all the others were delivered.

Ever have an un-deliverable or RTS mail? It usually takes a month to turn back up.

I mailed a check out for a class I was taking, I arrived at the class and they did not have the check, I was able to write a new one on the spot, 3 months later my RTS un-deliverable check arrived at my house.

I can smell the fish from here.
