Having driven a Lamborghini on the track, the car sounds just as sweet from inside as out.
Absolutely intoxicating howl as it screams to 8000 rpm.

Yesterday, saw a lime green Lambo sneaking up through traffic. Rolled the window down just to listen.
When it got close, it was obviously the sound of a V-6. One of the better kit cars I've see, but it was just a kit car.

V-6 sounds coming from a Lambo just doesn't fit. Kinda like a super model in an evening gown clunking along in ski boots.

Here's more from the black Countach. It has the Kreissieg Exhaust on it.

First, second and THIRD cars only. Play the third over and over and over and over again.

After hearing a Ferrari Enzo driving downtown, I can safely say no other production road car comes close...

Yes on the Matra! The mazda has always been a little too much for these old ears. Fun post.

Agreed - I saw the LeMans winning Mazda prototype and its sister car running at the Monterey Historics a few years ago. Nothing pleasant about that sound whatsoever. An incredibly shrill, piercing shriek the likes of which I hope to never hear again. That Matra, though - ooh yeah....
