Please keep Whit in your thoughts and prayers
Hello everyone,
Many of you know or have had contact with “Whit”. He has offered his pedal cluster rebuilding services, parts and knowledge with many enthusiasts. He and I became acquainted several years ago when I was searching for a usable gas tank. He has/had a 912 and his father has been in the 911 circle for years. Anyway, he and his parents and grandparents all lived in Paradise, CA and lost everything. Since Whit is involved more on the 912Registry I created a thread updating folks of how he and his family are doing. I am mentioning it here because many know him on Pelican as well. This link should work: Please keep Whit and his family in your thoughts and prayers https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_fid=30024&share_tid=55035&share_pid=400857&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2E912bbs%2Eorg%2Fvb%2Fshowpos t%2Ephp%3Fp%3D400857&share_type=t Thanks and please keep them in your thoughts. Please keep Whit in your thoughts and prayers
In the link I have listed a good mailing address for Whit. It goes to a coworker that will bring in mail to his work. As the fire literally exploded and began consuming the town. Whit’s wife was able to get the kids and the dog out with literally the clothes in their backs as Whit was trying to get back to them from the Chico area. Whit is the type to just be happy if folks kept them in the thoughts as they work through this mess, along with everyone else affected. Probably the best thing is someone was inclined to give them a little help, would be a gift card from Target, Costco, Sam’s, Amazon, etc. that way they can start replacing the daily items. In our conversation yesterday, he laughed about needing a can opener now. His family had been in their new home for a short time and were still living out of boxes. In addition to loosing the house, he lost his vintage 912 and all his parts stash and tools. But the truly important thing is that his family, his parents and grandparents all made it out. This fire devastated generations of local lineage. Very sad... He is keeping a positive outlook on things which is amazing in my book. Thanks again for asking, Cheers Trev Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for posting this. Will do.
One of our PRC racers and his wife also lost their home in Paradise... in this case two weeks or so after he had a big crash at our last race of the season at Sears Point (another driver lost control in front of him and he had no where to go in his 914). The 914 was heavily damaged (I'd guess several $10k). So first the race car, then the house. Thoughts and prayers for all of the folks up there.

Please keep Whit in your thoughts and prayers
Thanks everyone,
Just knowing folk are thinking about you help in so many ways. I will be sure to pass on your comments to Whit. This was posted on the 912 thread by another member that pulled this pic from the Facebook page on 912 & 911 builds. Shocking.... ![]() There is a very high chance that someone in this forum knows who this belongs too. Of all the disasters that can hit, this is my biggest fear. Because fire consumes everything........ Thanks again everyone! And if anyone wants to talk to me personally, just PM me and I can give you my cell. Trev Since a Whit grew up there, he knows just about everyone. The news story that is being aired about the bus driver who saved a couple of dozen kids and staff is a good buddy of his who quit his corporate job to go back to school and began driving schools busses on the side. It’s amazing how things happen. Whit said he is very privileged to be Kevin’s friend. ![]() Cheers
