Any Tokyo sightseeing ideas?

My wife and I will be in Tokyo starting tomorrow for a few days. We are with her youngest daughter and son in law. He is a survival school instructor in the air force and they are stationed at Misawa AFB which is where we have been for a week now. Looking for a few ideas of things to do or must see sites. Bonus points for something the guys can do for a half day while the girls shop.

Diver City offers a lot of shopping, and a huge life sized Gundam that’s really cool To check out. Toyota MEGA WEB is close by as well, where they have a huge collection of cars (not just Toyota’s). You can easily spend half a day there.

There is just so much to the city - I have been there many times and haven't even scratched the surface.

I did enjoy this: https://www.japanvisitor.com/japan-city-guides/japan-museums/yushukan-museum

Very interesting viewpoint(s) presented. The Zero in the lobby is amazing - tiny!

I have done a few of these as well: https://www.tsunagujapan.com/50-things-to-do-in-tokyo/

I really enjoyed #9.

Been a while - have fun!

The car museum in Odaiba is pretty cool.
There’s Toyota World and a classic car museum in the mall across the way.
Lots of shopping and activities. It’s not very Japanese culture though.
How about the Mario Kart tour?
....Street legal go karts...
Shibuya crossing.

Maricar is one of the best ways to see the city. Bring your international driver's license.
Robot Restaurant is also something to see. Don't go there hungry.
One of the most interesting places on the planet.

I’m jealous! I had an overnight at Narita when I missed a connection, what an awesome place! I was most impressed with how friendly and helpful the people there were. Oh yeah and the sushi was amazing too. It would probably be at the top of my list of cities that I would like to visit.

Figured I'd circle back since you're probably in Tokyo already. Did you rent a wifi passport? It'll help out greatly unless you have a sim card there, or tmobile since you get free international data. There's a bunch of places to go, but here's just a few of the many places that I went to in April last year. 8 days wasn't enough for me to explore Tokyo.. I probably needed another three weeks to take everything in.

History Garage/MEGAWEB

On your way to MegaWeb from Diver City, you'll spot the mini Statue of Liberty

If you like extremely spicy food, I have a spot for you!

Unfortunately I forgot what park this temple was at.

Shinjuku Gyo En National Park. Loved it here. Fantastic place to walk around and have a picnic if you'd like. Costs a few bucks but well worth it.

Meiji Jingu torii

Wander around the Yodobashi Camera shops. There's awesome shopping and cool things to look at everywhere.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government building- You can see Mt Fuji from here if the skies are completely clear

Walking around Coredo Muromachi

Feel free to pm me if you're looking for something in particular!
