The two that stand out the most to me are a lady named Icee Mounds, and a name that I think was just mean by the parents. I worked in IT and had to add him to our systems, which was based on first name, lastname.
This nice guy had the last name of Pickelsymer. Now that is bad, but his first name was Virgil. Who the heck names their kid Virgil? So, I am adding him to the system and I say, "Virgil?" He responds with, I go by Kevin. Not sure how to respond, I said that I understand, and put him in the system as Kevin. His parent's thought, Pickelsymer wasn't enough to torment him, lets add Virgil.... I always thought that was worse than a boy named Sue. |
well with the way the youth is going, by the time a kid turns 18 and starting on hormone therapy. ABCDE will be a Steve, and a boy named Sue will be a female.

The only thing I see that was wrong in sharing via social media was using the ticket with the airline's name on it, don't involve the corporation you work for in your social media life unless you want them to own your account. |

The placement of the chair is the name, a choice of the mother. The natural reaction to that placement of the chair results in a hot chair. The mother complains of the chair getting hot despite placing the chair in the sun. She could make the choice to have placed the chair in the shade. |
What type of chair is it ? :D The mom might as well named the kid bar stool ......... any way you slice it the mom is nuts and the kid will have a tough future because her mom is/was nuts . Like kids don't have enough issues growing up in todays society

A Mom's off-her-rocker chair :)

Tervuren, you appear comfortable giving the Southwest employee a pass for behaving poorly. While it was the crazy mom’s choice to name her kid (place the chair in the sun in your haiku/anology), and it was the crazy mom who is complaining...please remember the kid is 5 years old and the employee should not have laughed and pointed openly at the poor little kid with the crazy mom.

IMO it is perfectly acceptable to make fun of stoopid people like that.

As a service professional, I could care less what someone names their child. It is their business. My job is to provide my service and make them feel their business is valued.
The mom was right to bring the behavior of the airline staffer to the attention of the company. A bit of remedial training should be in that staffer's future. In the analogy of the deck chair in the hot sun, a real service professional would have offered a place in the sun so the family was not inconvenienced. That is good service. Best Les |
"ABCDE you are on deck, Gentleman please give a round of applause for LMNOP on the pole at center stage!!"
Yeah, that all has a nice ring to it, at least they will not have to take on stage names when they grow up. The days of Amber, Lexus and Mercedes are finally behind us. When I was in my early 20's I knew 2 girls that were cousins and were from very wealthy families, one was Precious the other was Laetitia. Odd names super pretty girls, both were nuts. |

A few years back working IT support for same government intity I do now: part of my duties were setting up new users in the system as well as their work station / cubicle tag.
Norther Va. Is quite the melting pot of cultures from all over the world. This 1 user, who is still there.......name: Bangin Wang - that's her name, Vietnamese I think. Now all of you........top that |
There was a kid in a small town in Massachusetts named Chevy Van Pickup. He became famous for being arrested at the ripe old age of 7.
