Need a new wall oven

Our electric 27 " wall oven that we inherited with the house has stopped working . Diagnosis is control board that is no longer available new. Oven is 20 + years old it had a good run . Looking at new in the 800 - 1000 range there are Frigidaire , GE and Amana as the main players . Any input on these brands ? Is one better than the other ? We just want a basic oven we don't need to watch the internet on it ! Being in the mountains we have limited selection ( Home Depot ) .

I spent about 5 hours on the internet today researching wall ovens My head is spinning but I found what I think is a good deal and pulled the trigger . Purchased an Amana 27 " black online from Goedeker's they had the best price by over 40.00 with free shipping and no sales tax which saves me 7 % . I've never purchased an appliance this way so this is a first . Used my CC so do have help if there are any issues . Once I figured out the model I wanted I went on many websites and all the reviews were very positive , time will tell .

Did you find the choices more limited for a 27" vs. a 30"?

I have a full on commercial range but we augment that with a Speed Cook oven/micro. But as a stand alone, I don't think it's enough in the way of overall versatility. So, what features did you look for? Convection? Self cleaning? Does it broil? Double or single?

Doesn't seem like a $1000 goes very far these days.

Hey Milt it is a single wall oven . My wife wanted a basic oven but it had to be self cleaning , able to broil and be able to turn oven light on via a switch . Believe it or not some ovens only turn the light on by opening the door . In my research it looks like most if not all have a cooling fan for the electronics and some reviews stated it was annoying to hear . I think the Amana checks all the boxes , had very good reviews and is made in the USA .

One more thing , the selection of 30 " ovens is larger than 27 " but most sites I went on had at least 9 - 10 ovens available in the 27 " size .

I really like my 5 year old Bosch except for one thing. You can turn the light on with a switch, but if you open the door and close it the light goes out and you have to turn it back on again via the switch. I would prefer to turn it on with the switch and have it stay on until i turn it off with the switch.
