Nice!
I refinished a few old work benches that came with the farm...sanded, stained and sealed them. I would at least seal the doors you repurposed...my are still holding up with no "marks" from oil, gun cleaning stuff, etc. Again, nicely done! |
Hey Paul it's looking good ! Nice repurposing on the solid core doors . It's amazing how quickly a large empty space gets small when filled with stuff :D

I didn't realize it has been so long since my last update.
I ordered and finally installed the back door. I don't know it at the time I ordered but I have a diamond plate door. I looked at the Lowe's website and my order and no where does it say it would have this finish. It says smooth. But after I got it's kinda grown on me and everyone I show it to likes it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585786038.jpg |

Cool door.

I like the door, sort of a bonus.

First time working with cement board plank siding. Stuff is heavy and if you let it flip sideways it will break. It comes primed or colored and I'm using the primed. 7.25" x 12' cost $7.99 a board.

I also picked up these perfect cabinets from a reno project at work. Super nice. They were headed to the dumpster. 14 l.f. and the doors swing 180 degrees.

Edit: Just noticed - you're not matching the reveal of the new siding to match the existing? |

Leave a small gap at the ends and butt joints. Also, where a mask...That dust is a killer. |

Today's progress.
I can really cover it up when I only need to cut every other plank. In the morning..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586113904.jpg In the afternoon... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586114000.jpg |

It's been awhile so here's a update;
Continuing around with the siding/planks. I had to figure out the best way to put in a hose bibb. Need to keep it waterproof. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1592268326.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1592268471.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1592268495.jpg |
The hose bibb is on the wall that the scaffold is against. Just one more wall to go.
