My ******* brother. Ferrari content.

So my grandma gives my brother for Christmas the official Matchbox car carrier/briefcase thingie back in 69-ish.

I get the K-Mart off brand carrier because supposedly, according to Alice, the official Matchbox carriers were "out of stock".

Life long wedge. Thank you Grandma K. Not.

I text him the other day. Tell him I am still pissed because grandma liked him best.

Then he sends pic of the Mustang with the movable wheel lever and says this one is his.

I go ape****.

So then I say "At least I have the green Berlinetta" with suspect rubber.

He says he has the working Berlinetta and is going on a trip.

He has more money than me, being an MD. Suggestions to counter?

For those that are older - how sweet is this?

I think the granite works well for the counter.

I used to have the Ferrari myself. Along with a lot of other cool cars. My favorites, for obvious reasons, were Corgi Toys.

Send me a 917 model. I'll get it signed by a genuine, German 917 constructor. Game, set, match.

I call BS, the aluminum body skins and the tubular steel frame don't allow for towing.

Looks like he’s towing a houseboat. Is this how MDs go camping?

Just keep an eye out on ebay or such for the 5 most valuable Matchbox. Maybe you could get them and show your brother what for...

Tell him to enjoy the trailer park, and you'll wave when you fly over:

Say to your brother "OK, game on. I know a guy with a Porsche Carrera. And not one of those mild road going things. A real carrera race car!" It's got some minor issues but will be going very soon.

One of my fond memories is the Lesney #32 Jag. Mom put it atop my 16th birthday cake. I still have it, bits of dried frosting stuck in it's wheels.

No idea of value...it's not for sale.

To think...mom probably paid 69 cents for it...

(Edit) Actually, I have 2 of them. Saw one in a Portland junk shop some years back...thought I was crazy, but paid $20 for it for nostalgia reasons.

My Dad used to run us to the hobby center as kids and let us look around and always let us snag one or two. I do think they were still under $1.

Fond memories.

I had no idea when I was 7 or 8... I traded a nice F1 car for a Super King crane.

Your path is clear...call his neighbor and have them put their trash bins on the curb in front of your brothers house.

That Super King Crane is huge.

I did get a giant car carrier for Christmas in the 70's but we were older and the interest was starting to wane for the hobby. I think my miscreant brother has that one stashed somewhere.

Carrier (internet pic)

This is the only F1 car I have.

F1 Lotus on my table with the same suspension Colin would have liked. Note tired rubber. They must shrink.
