Wow.....glad you found it. I wouldn't have come up with that one in a million years.

The funny thing is, when you google 80's songs with saxophone it shows up in the top 10... along with Carlesss Whisper which I pulled out of thin air! And the really funny thing, to me anyhow, is that I listened to Men at Work WAY more than I did Wham.

Oh and thanks! Now the song is playing in my head.

That was the problem! It was driving me crazy because it's one those riffs that stays with you for days. BTW, if you had walked over to the piano and played CCEDC, you'd have had it in one second.

Speaking of which, how 'bout some more examples of riffs that stay in your head?

I was going for this:

Led Zeppelin The Ocean

Just saw this...

If you hadn't already figured this out, I would have guess Eddie Money...Also a lot of Sax with Springsteen and with Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Also a lot of sax with Barry Manilow...but could not imagine Zeke as a Fanilow.

I blew out my flip-flop
Stepped on a pop-top*
Cut my heel had to cruise on back home
But there's booze in the blender
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on

It's only when your lady friend in her 60's with the family beach home that has known this Jimmy Buffet song since it came out sings it as:

"Stepped on a Pop Tart"

Do you make a double take and say "Do WHAT?!" How the hell you gonna blow out a flip flop and cut your heel on a dang POP TART?! :D

.....which is only second to a friend of mine singing with the band in a blues club "my baby got a black cap on".....er.....what'd you say?! "my baby got a black cap on!".......Dude! It's "My Baby got a black cat bone"!

craigster59 12-18-2018 08:16 PM

Had a friend in high school sing along with Deep Purple "Smoke On The Water".

Him: "Go, German Warfare, there's fire in the sky!"

Me: "Are you effing kidding me?".

Gogar 12-18-2018 08:41 PM

You're in luck Milt. I'll ask for "Da Da D-E-E- Doo Doo" in person.

Red Rocks must be a spectacular venue. Do you have a favorite? I prefer much smaller, intimate places typically....but that place must be "special"....
