Rolling Stones 2019 Tour

Announced this week.

My 12 year old son who loves classic rock is already hassling me to take him. We've seen the Who a couple times, Springsteen, and Lenny Kravits.

Its been 20 years since I've seen the Stones and .....this could be the last time.

Holy crap. I last saw them in 1980 in Seattle. They were over the hill then, as far as rock'n'roll goes. Even then, I only went to see The Clash and Greg Khin, who both opened for them.

Last time I saw them, Little Stevie Wonder was the warm up act.
I don’t think they’ve changed the show much, since then.

We saw the steel wheels tour ages ago. It was good to see them, but I don’t think I’d go again. And they are one of my favorite bands.

I saw them in Dallas about three years ago with my teen son and adult cousin.

AMAZING

They are sober. They played the good stuff. It was maybe the best show I have ever seen - and I have seen many many shows.

If you have the coin and any interest, do it.

I need to check this out. They were great!

Ok. Just signed up for early ticket notifications and posted on FB to see who wants to go.

Thanks for the heads up!

I just checked out the Seattle show, less than $200 to over $3000 face value.

Only 13 shows on the American leg of the tour, they'll most likely sell everything out, so get em while you can!

Edit - check out this line from the promotors web page: "Currently, the maximum price for Rolling Stones tickets is $9751, a price that could apply to the best Rolling Stones tickets available."

Yikes! That's a lot!

Stones were always my favorite...with 20 tied for second place. They're the only stadium shows I will attend...the SW tour was so-so imo. The VooDoo Lounge tour years later freakin' rocked, and then a dozen years ago, caught them in Duke's small stadium....another great show. Will I go again? Naw....I'd rather have the Mexicali Blues instead these daze....hmm

I had a security job on the Steel Wheels tour, checking backstage passes in from of the dressing room doors. I got to watch the soundcheck from the barrier in front of the front row in an empty Three Rivers Stadium. Cool stuff. Saw them again on Voodoo Lounge for free. Great shows, but I wouldn't pay today's ticket prices and fight the crowds.

I saw them at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville during their ' Tour of the Americas ' stint in 1975.

Not my stub, $10 bucks for Gen Admission.

Saw them every tour from '72 to '89 @ LA Coliseum w Guns n' Roses, (along w every other band I wanted to see as a teenager). I would find it just depressing to see them now, just a pathetic display of how much time has passed and how old we all are. No thanks, I think I'll live in the present.

And as Higgins said, they, (and their music), were getting old in 1980.

I love the Stones and have a pile of the music on vinyl.

But saw their special from Cuba... only got through about two songs... looked and sounded like the living dead.

Stones are always in rotation on my turntable, but I'll pass on this tour. There are just too many smaller, more accessible bands and venues my kids and I would rather see and have tickets for. I'll leave it there...

I saw them at the Gator bowl in 89 and in the 90s, both were supposed to be their last tour.

I saw that tour in Oakland. On their 2013 tour I took my (then) 23 year old son. They put on a great show.
