Whisky and freshly squozen OJ is a fine adult beverage
'tis the season for oranges and lemons on the tree.
Had my first whisky sour tonight. Splash of OJ, squeeze of lemon, whisky and a spalsh of 7 up. As many oranges as I eat, surprised I am not diabetic. I need to pick the rest of the mandarins tomorrow, before it starts raining too much. Those things are like eating candy. Juice from the Washington navels for the cocktails, obviously. Fresh off the tree |

If we are talking OJ then a Brass Monkey, (that funky monkey) is easier to get your freak on.

My mom has plenty of citrus, including Paige (sp?) oranges, etc. When juiced, the juice is too good to adulterate with alcohol.
That said, being in Florida, plenty of good fresh squeezed juice available. |

Navels are okay but in Fillmore at the fruit stand you can get a 20 lb box of Valencias for $6.00.
They have twice the juice of a Navel and sweeter. Now they are mostly used for juice, cleaners and orange scented cleaning products.
