98 year old farmer on Johnny Carson:
While going down the rabbit hole of youTube, I stumbled upon this gem. Thought someone here might enjoy it:

G'day!
|
You know, Johnny Carson Show reruns are still shown on a certain channel I get and every once in a while I watch some of them and they are fantastic.
He was one in a million. Thanks for posting this, Denis.....

Sure beats what passes for late night "entertainment" today.

Thanks for posting Denis.
I've come across and watched that video in the past. Fantastic. I have watched a few others Carson videos as well. I also like the Carol Burnette vids. Carol and Harvey Korman can't stop laughing when Tim Conway is performing. When he is a Dentist and stabs himself with the novocaine. Or when he falls down the steps in slow motion. |

One of the funniest bits was when Johnny and Doc were discussing their Thanksgiving plans.

I've heard stories from the "Old Guard" who worked with Johnny. Apparently he never wanted to go and meet with the guests in the "Green Room" no matter who they were.
He liked to go in "Cold" and have the conversation flow from the start, no rehearsal, just spontaneous conversation. Very lacking in our "edited" versions of shows these days.
