We named her "Rozinante". We traveled up the ICW, over to the Bahamas, across Okeechobee and resettled in St. Augustine. I came across many older retired folks who undertook this great adventure who always remarked, "we wished we could have done this earlier". I even worked for several month while living aboard. I bounced back into my occupation, back on land and back in the grind for the last 40 years! It sucks! My wife and I are thinking hard about doing the Great Loop in a Trawler (34-36) before we get too old.
RV? sailboat or powerboat?, motorcycle or bicycle? GET YOUR BUTTS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You only go around once my friends and if comes to mind, MAKE IT HAPPEN. We all know the old expressions about getting old and waiting too long to fulfill that dream or take on that adventure. I promise you, you will survive and you will never forget the experience.
