Winding my watch. The entire knob pulled out! That can’t be good.

I have a guy local to me, really good and very honest. If you cannot find anyone local to you I will be happy to put you in touch with him.
He is in Hobe Sound, Florida. edit - here is his info, he is an older guy and really knows his stuff. He was the fist one to service my rolex properly in 25 years and charged the least despite doing the most work to it. https://www.yelp.com/biz/about-time-hobe-sound I also had my stem come loose, it is not a horrific problem as you might think.

Your ROLEX fell apart? I thought they were good watches.

Yep. Pack some of that in there and it will be right twice a day and STILL be a Rollex.

Winding your watch.
WTF? Is that some sort of fanboy lingo that only watch enthusiasts know, sort of like Star Trekkies who speak in Klingon at conventions? (J.K. If you want, send it to me - my dad's got a great set of tools! I'll see what I can do!)

Wait a minute, aren't you an engineer? I don't see a knob on these watches..

Doesn’t matter. Same thing for the most part.

I would call your local Rolex store.
I have a Tudor also, and have found out that the technicians and parts used on a Tudor are different than the Rolex models. Therefore, you probably will want to send it to RUSA (Probably in TX) for service. They have a group of Tudor technicians and the correct parts there. I have taken my Rolex to a local guy (not at a Rolex dealer), and I think he’s not as good. Non dealers are not able to get factory parts. |

Rolex has an authorized factory service center in San Francisco. You can probably screw the stem back in, which I would probably do until you get the watch to a service facility.
If it were mine, I would just go ahead and mail it to the Rolex facility in Dallas. They are a cut above what you can get from Rolex in California and probably less expensive. |

My local Rolex store s in SF. He’s gone downhill with respect to service.
Plus getting there is a pain since I moved to the boonies. |

I might send it to my brothers Rolex guy in my home town.
My brother can carry it back when he comes turkey hunting. |

OK, Amigo, here's a quick hack for you. Take the watch off and let it run down to where it quits running. Note the time displayed. The next time that time comes around on the clock, wind the watch a little bit by manually moving it around, once it starts running stick it on your wrist and start wearing it.
If it's anywhere close to being due for a service, I would just send it to Rolex in Dallas and get it re-done. I know I sound like a broken record but there's no comparison in the quality of service you get there, versus what you get elsewhere. |

The stem (knob) coming out is not a big deal. A competent watch maker could fix that in about 90 seconds.
The problem is removing the back. Rolex/Tudor's need a special tool.

if your adventurous, you can unscrew the back and pop the stem back in. There is a small tab that holds it in, just lift it up as you push it in and your good to go.
