Dreams

And I mean weird dreams. Always been a dreamer and can remember parts if not most of them

Lately they have become far more vivid and seem to have some ties to one another.

Always one object that stands out in color. A bright blue book or, like last night, a bright red car.
I am usually looking for something. My home, meeting place, or a vehicle.
i am usually only attired in my tidy whities. No one seems to notice or care.

Last night's went like this.

i am eating a meal, all that is left on the plate are a big pile of mashed potatoes and gravy and a double helping of turkey and noodles. I was slurping up the noodles and I can still remember how great they tasted and how much I was eating. Saved the tators for last. I then went to bed. In my tidy whities.

In a start I wake up (dream wake up, not real wake up) and find myself in my car. Still in my undies. The street where I am parked is unfamiliar It seems to about dawn, low light. Next to my car is a bright red Jeep. It glows. It is mine in the dream. (I have had one in the past) I can't figure out how I am going to be able to get both cars home. On the other side of my car is a push mower. I get out and fold the handle down (very detailed latch) and place mower in back seat of car. It is a 4 door of undetermined make. As I drive home I wake up (real life wake up)...

whacha think. Can you top that?

When I’m camping at high elevation.

My dreams are wild.

At home. (164 feet elevation). Most of my dreams are about being left behind or me trying to catch up. Boring.

First thing I would do..check to see what objects are missing in the bedroom.:)

I was dreaming last night. The two things I remember in them, something to do with the Mexican border (well, being in Mexico, near the border) and Nancy Pelosi. Needless to say, it was a night-mare...

What did you eat before you went to bed? :D

I've had a few memorable dreams. When I was in college I lived in a 2nd floor apartment and my bedroom window overlooked the sidewalk. I had a nightmare that there was a dragon under the bed and he was swinging his tail back and forth, scraping it against the floor. When I woke up I realized it was the landlord outside shoveling snow off the sidewalk. Scrape, scrape, scrape...

After I graduated I had a recurring dream that they discovered I had one more course to take before I could get my diploma. This went on for a couple of years after I actually got the diploma.

Before I started using the CPAP I had almost nightly dreams that I could not sleep. I dreamed I was awake tossing and turning and was very upset that I could not get to sleep. But I would wake up and look at the clock and realize two-three hours had inexplicably passed. As soon as I got the CPAP these dreams went away.

I got a phone call from my former coach and he said I still had one year of eligibility left and asked me to come back and play for him. It took me a while to realize that it was just a dream. I remember thinking about quitting my job and going back.

I did a post about this some time ago and I still have dreams which my doctor tell me it is a side effect of the cholesterol meds I am taking because the little bits of bad stuff are breaking loose and disappearing it seems. She said she can give me a sleeping medicine so there will be none but so far 99.9% are okay with many going back to the time in the Navy. If they become nightmares I'd suggest seeing your doctor quickly.

I dreamed that I used to be married,
had a big house on the river and everything

Crazy...

I woke up and went out to work on my motorcycle

First thing I thought of when I saw the thread title...

(I don't have crazy, vivid dreams like the OP, wish I did!!)

One that has happened to me twice is as followers.

----

I dreamed my alarm clock went off, that I reached over and shut it off.

Then I woke up having dreamed that the alarm clock had gone off, and that I had shut it off, it was time to get up.

Got up, went about the beginnings of my morning.

Couldn't believe the first clock I came across, checked a second, checked a third, got online and looked the time up.

It was so real.

I now check the time first when I get up, just to make sure I didn't dream the alarm went off.

Ugh. Probably three dozen vivid dreams in my life about classes that I forget to attend during a semester.

More recently but less frequent, I can't remember where the class I blew off is meeting.

Far outweighs the number of going to primary school in my underwear dreams.

Mentioned this in a thread a few years back. Response was it's stress related that triggers.

1. Satisfaction with current life situation...you are gobbling it up...

Under wear is a reflection of your perception of the personal self and not the public self which wears cloths. Tidy Whities..a formal, clinical, follower of protocol as a way of dealing with situations as a way to avoid the messy unstructured just letting it all hang out let it flow of things.

2. Dreaming of waking up in a dream...is an awareness of what is going on in your subconscious world...you are at the beginning of being aware of that world it is dawn..you are tryiing to figure out a situation...the car, but are able to figure out a lessor situation...the complex latch..and resolve it by getting it home.

What happens to the Glowing Red car? Does it get transformed into the mower which means that once looked at it is not so big after all even if it is a bit complicated to figure out. , or is it still out there unresolved?.. a bigger issue from the past..as you owned one before..

Do your Tidy Whities ever have brown skid marks in them?:confused::)

Don't know what happened to the red Jeep. It was left behind.

The lawnmower was on the drivers side. Jeep on passenger. The lawnmower was exceptionally light. Little effort to putmit in the backseat. .

Drivers side denotes control over where you go..you are in the drivers seat and the problem was light or easy..even if it took some figuring out..you could figure it out...putting it behind you in the back seat.

In the passenger seat is where you have no control..you are along for the ride. Glowing as in hot? or is it trying to alert you to something...by being bright..

Jeeps are off the road vehicles..dealing with rough territory unstructured no paved roads here..... Red is hot, passionate, emotional..alive..vibrant...glowing....

I have always had insane dreams. The one that sticks in my mind, I was in a strange town looking for a motel room. Its dark out and every motel is full up. I keep going from one to another. Finally find a vacancy and the clerk will not let me have it. He says he cant rent to dead people. I say I am not dead . He says show me your license. I do and he points out that my picture is gone. It seems that when you die, the picture on your license disappears.:eek:

So, I am strong, confident, and in control of my inner and outer self.

Actually, I am a 5' 2" shy wimpy nerd. A follower, not a leader, no self confidence.

For years following my discharge from the Army, I had a recurring dream where I somehow find myself back in uniform. The theme was always one of frustration as I try to convince them that it's all a mistake. No one will listen as I tell them that I've already served my time and don't belong there.

Some of my best dreams involve waking up from one dream into a completely different one. Sometimes I'm aware that I'm in a dream, but not always.

I often wake up giggling at my dreams. I have some fun times. The other day I was walking down a really long hall like at a hotel. Doors on both walls, for a long time. Then somehow I was on skates that changed to a bicycle and the hall started slipping down steeply. Then ramps and jumps appeared. Still I was going down a long hall flying at crazy speeds and doing back flips and jumps having fun. And as a note, I have not been on a bike in many decades.
