Recommend a good chemistry book?

I'm talking about a fun, easy to read book. Not a dry textbook. There are a ton of interesting books on theoretical physics by authors like Bryan Green and Stephen Hawking. But I can't find anything like those books on chemistry. Please help this curious science nerd.

I've read a few chemistry text books, and they're all freaking dry.
