Flying to NAMM today. Gift cards for TSA

125 bucks worth of gift cards for TSA agents. Thank you for being here, while not being paid.

I have never seen a TSA agent cry. Until today.

Good for you! I flew this past weekend with the Mrs. and thanked every TSA agent we passed.

I have some pilot friends who wanted to give some gift cards to local air traffic controllers. The ATC union said there might be some ethics questions regarding gifts to government employees. One of the pilots tried to contact the FAA ethics office but apparently the office was shut down.

Generous. I remember when you were having a hard time coming up with the rent. Nice turnaround.

Still a lot slower than 2016... I finally got my sales numbers for the last two years. Combined, it's less than half of 2016. But I've had a couple sales over the last few months which went well. That was added to the Namm budget.

That's a really nice touch.

I've long felt TSA gets way more crap than they deserve.

There are 90,000 people (give or take) flying in and out of the LA area for this trade show over the course of this week. I made a post on the NAMM organization Facebook page, just a reply to a post they made. And both of my pages, personal and business. And Instagram. They've been shared a bunch.

Agreed, sure they can be annoying, but look at their side, they have to squeeze thousands of people a day through the chute, most who have no clue what they are doing, and are actively trying to be a pain. I always have my stuff ready to roll, and am kind and courteous to them, and I’ve never had trouble.

I don’t have any trips for a few more weeks, but this is a good idea.

Their pay is deferred. They will eventually get paid in full, it will just take longer to get.
Which BTW I would not like either.

we should all write to our reps in congress urging them to do their job and pass a budget so people can get paid on time.
