How often do you boyz loose your phone ?

Im in the doghouse. Just treated my wife like a 10 year old kid, because, she lost her phone, got new one, my dime, , and then lost that one.
I told her that she is an adult now, and time to grow up and keep track of her own stuff.
Wouldn't you know it, I lost my phone yesterday. Never left the shop , but looked in every possible place . I was sure that some one carried it off. I rang it 100 times .
I just found it now, on the floor of a mercedes, under the pile of dash trim that I tore off yesterday. I looked there 3 times last night, but it was hiding good .
She's been giving me that smirk all morning . " Where is your phone Fred ?"
I hate that .

Pretty much never.

I've got a memory like a screen door these days so I never put anything down without purpose or intent.

Basically I put things in the same spot each and every time. Only one place in the kitchen, one place in my office, one place in the living room, etc....

Never. It's either on my hip or on my nightstand. Sometimes it spends days on my nightstand, but it's only ever in one of those two places.

At 64 I manage to successfully hide it from myself about once every two months. When I call it using another phone and don’t hear it wring I know I am in trouble. When the frequency starts approaching 3xs a month, it might be time to get out the 9mm.

Have never completely lost one but did send one through the wash. Man was it clean.

One time, it was in my pocket, I went on the Incredible Hulk Coaster an Islands of Adventure and it literally flew out of my pocket when we were launched up the tunnel at the start. I still have no idea how that happened I was sitting.

We launched lookout on my wifes phone and logged in, I could see my phone was somewhere in the lagoon below the ride, it eventually stopped giving off a signal. I had insurance, replacement ran me $50.

Another time I was grabbing my Mini Pickup, I put my phone on the tonneau cover on the bed of my truck. I forgot I put it there, drove up the block and heard it hit the street as I turned a corner.

Went back and picked it up and it was that moment I decided to only own Samsung Active phones, it was perfectly fine.

Now I am in the habit of the 3 taps.

Wallet
Phone
Keys

I do it all the time.

If I google; 'where is my phone' it will locate it and show on GPS.
It will also allow me to ring it, lock it, or wipe it clean.

Never lost one. Ours is an old Trac phone flip phone. Only use it when we're out an about..like later today when we go to play pool. $100 spent on minutes last a year...our $8.33 per month plan. Would have never bought it...except just try to find a pay phone these days.

So if you are in your bedroom and your phone is in your car, say under a seat...

that is a great tip though, thanks.

In order for "find my phone" to work, you have to have location services turned on. (Not that Google isn't tracking you anyway.)

I never had a cell phone. I only lost my keys once and some tools. Funny it was always while working with the same guy.

Lost my phone?. I think you must be talking to my wife. Fortunately, 99.99% of the time, she's set it down some place in the house or left it in my car. I think she's only actually lost one once when it was dropped in a parking lot and run over. I found it in a garbage can, smashed, but still working, sort of.

Yeah, that was many, many years ago and I used good to track it down. With her current phone, I use "find my phone" for clues, but it's not accurate enough to tell me where in our home the phone is.

I haven't lost my cell phone yet, but I have taken the land line phone (yes, we still have one) with me several times when I left the house. I have a habit of putting it in my pocket so I don't have to get up or stop what I'm doing to go answer it when it rings.
