The 2019 Rolex 24 Thread
So who attending this year???
I'm going down Thursday morning and camping in the west camping area outside the track. Looks like rain possible on Thursday but not too cold for the race. I took this shot at the Roar a few weeks ago.

I'll consider going again when Porsche factory runs in the P1.
Enjoy, Paul!

We're going. Be there from Thursday night through Sunday. Tent camping. I decided to forego Sebring this year, since I haven't been to the 24 since I was a kid. Normally I'd have the 993, but to keep it simple, I'm renting a pickup truck.

And I think our camp spot is outside the track, too.

See ya there, any suggestions on places to eat around Daytona?
We are staying close to the boardwalk. Plan to be at the track early Sunday to watch the finish, and enjoy the race and sunrise with breakfast at the track. |

Wish I could attend the Rolex 24 as it's one of those events I've wanted to go to for quite some time now. Looking forward to seeing your pictures after you get back from the Rolex 24, Paul!
It's great to see Risi Competizione heading to the Rolex 24. Sadly it doesn't look like they'll be competing the full season again, but I can just hope. I'm patiently waiting for the full spotter guides to release so I can see all the new liveries! Really digging the livery on the Turner M6 GT3 right now: The bare carbon body looks sweet!

Talk about carbon fiber. Many of the car at the Roar where running "naked" with only their carbon showing....

That could easily save them maybe 5 lbs or more if they race unpainted and result in a little more flexibility with the ballast adjustments.

I love the bare exposed carbon look on racecars, it just looks so good! Paul, do you happen to have any more that you can share?
![]() Can't wait to see the full livery done on Turner's M6... is it just me or does it look wider than it did last year? Many teams have been teasing liveries and I just can't wait to see them! Which liveries are you looking forward to most? ![]() Castrol and Motorcraft throwback liveries look great on the Ford GT's! ![]() Pfaff's plaid livery looks pretty cool! ![]() I love this throwback to RealTime Racing's classic livery ![]() ![]() Riley Motorsports debuted their Wynn's throwback livery and it looks great! ![]() Core Autosports is bringing the retro NISMO livery back too!

This Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2:35 p.m. ET, the green flag will fly over a 47-car field in the 57th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. It marks both the start of the IMSA 50th Anniversary Celebration and the beginning of an exciting new era for the sanctioning body and its flagship IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. This year, U.S. television coverage begins on Thursday with a special one-hour preview show on NBCSN at 2 p.m. ET, followed immediately by live television coverage of Rolex 24 qualifying – the first time in IMSA history – at 3 p.m. It’s a newly-added appetizer in advance of the season-opening 57th Rolex 24 At Daytona. NBCSN will bring you live coverage of the Rolex 24 beginning Saturday at 2 p.m. ET with coverage continuing throughout the 24 hours on both NBCSN and the NBC Sports App. Of course, international flag-to-flag coverage is still available on IMSA.com and a variety of international television outlets, as well as IMSA Radio commentary on RadioLeMans.com and SiriusXM Radio. IMSA.com’s robust video coverage also includes live in-car cameras throughout the race, and a full live broadcast of the weekend’s season-opening IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race Friday at 12:15 p.m. ET. Visit IMSA.com for full details.

All classes look strong this year, can't wait! IMHO, the IMSA Radio team is the best in racing.

Sucks that I'm going to miss it this year, but I can't shake this pneumonia.
