He has $15K in it according to the article, admittedly bought at different points and $'s are worth different amounts at different times.

When he first cut it up I doubt 912's were worth much, they probably still aren't worth much.

Seems like he enjoyed what he was doing on the side.

Most often projects like this end up unfinished; that is when they are unsellable.

He says he has 15k in it, but how many hours to make that thing? Time is money also, and it appears tons of hours and years so I would say that equals a lot of money. Interesting exercise, good for him for building whatever the hell he wants and not worry about what others say. With that being said sometimes it is good to have close friends that can talk some reason into you to maybe talk you off the ledge. Either way, not my car or money or time. If he is happy that's all that matters. That's what I say to everyone when they want to do crazy crap to their cars.

His fabrication skills are rudimentary. That's why he ended up with so many bad design details. His inability to fabricate compound curved surfaces yielded the hideous flares and other disasters.

The workmanship on the fenders is great. I like all the breaks. I like it as long as the photos are close-ups. The fenders totally suck on that car, but they’re nice work.

When I bought my current 911SC I called Techweenie (sp) to ask him a few questions on my plans; I trust his opinions: He basically said, "enjoy the car, make it what you want it to be...nothing special about the current car."

The car in question in this thread may not be my ideal, but I love the effort: Nothing special about the donor.

It is just a car, and it is his car and time and money. I see many people modify cars to fit their tastes. His taste is not the same as mine by a long shot, but it is his car to do with as he sees fit.

Years ago a company called Gemballa did HORRIBLE things to a 911 for Vanilla Ice. Google it for yourself. It was way worse than the the car of this thread.
