I don't know, but there is something about Canada I like.
It could just be me.

I was going to say UFO's, but the comments section may have an Earthly answer.

RF can do that. It can cause semiconductor micro switches to cycle and drain a battery. Somebody needs to adjust their antenna better.

I see there's a tall transmitting tower up near the railroad track. You might be on to something.

But if there was a 1965 Chevy truck in the lot, it wouldn't have had a problem? Only thing electronic on it would have been a transistor AM radio!
Then again, wasn't there something in the news a while back about roving X-Ray trucks?

No Canada is fine. Think Molsen Ice and bikini clad ladies the one or two weeks of warm weather a year.

But back to the subject at hand. Could it be something like this:

They found it was a piece of transmitting equipment malfunctioning, a frick'in remote car starter stuck on transmit.
Kind of scary, a benign malfunctioning consumer product hobbled all those cars, zombie apocalypse your car isn't going to work.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.
