Double duty light...parking break and voltage...check voltage with a multimeter. Could be an alternator problem...hard to tell at low RPM tho...

Warning...it's been a long spell without a longhood and relying on a fading memory.

Parking brake? That's interesting. I never knew that there's a light hooked up to it. It comes on periodically through out my drive today. This is my second drive. Took it to get it aligned today, on my way back, I noticed it. I don't have a parking brake, Wipers and such. Its been taken out for weight savings. If I am to drive this on the street more often (looks that way for now), it must be re-installed.

Alternator?

Thanks, keep em' coming.

What's the light for next to the key down below? I have never seen it lid up. I have had this car for 9 months but have not had a chance to monkey with it.

The B should indicate low brake fluid. The G should indicate low voltage.

The top light I think on my '70 914-6 is a green colored light that indicates low oil pressure. But I'd have to go check it.

Also that R tach is crooked, you need to straighten it...

The switch below the hazard button on the dash. That's the NOS button, right?

In my ‘75 it indicates handbrake is on. The “G” light below is low voltage.

Weird - I thought it was a double duty Parking Brake and Charging Light.

Thinking about it, you're probably right...I recall the alternator warning light flickering at a low brightness level with the car idling. Just no longer sure of the location. Generally, loved the gauges on my old 911S other than wishing Porsche had somehow installed a volts gauge.

Also a factor is that Porsche used different standard gauge set ups depending on the model, although "S" gauges were an option for T's and E's...

Also, looks like an aftermarket or altered tach to me...goes beyond the revs range of an original T, E, or S. S had the highest redline at 7,300.

I googled 1969/1970 porsche 911 owners manual pdf, you might try for your specific year.

Manual page 17/ pdf page 14

^ OK, so that is just like my 914-6, which has a "T" motor in it.

But the OP's setup looks different.

Its a 10,000 rpm tach. Newly rebuilt along with the speedo.
