Precisely why, if I ever find myself needing to go to Eugene, I take my '77 Dodge Powerwagon over the 911...with an empty gun rack in the back window. Those who like to trash & burn SUV's up here have never touched it. They must think I'm waiting a block or so away, rifle in hand. For those who doubt these comments about Eugene? The University of Oregon, with it's campus in Eugene, is about to beat out Harvard and Bezerkley as the most leftist campus in the USA, with the University officialdom announcing that the U of O is against war with Iraq. LOL. In general terms, you are absolutely right. There are interesting exceptions:
1) Guy drives a Ferrari, Rap Star SUV, MB S600. Girl thinks, "Oooh, he must have a lot of money so I can buy shoes. I think I'll say hi."

2) Girl wears CFM shoes. Guy thinks, "Ummm, I wonder if she wants a ride in my Pacer." Guy says, "Hey baby. My daddy owns a shoe store."

LOL this whole thread is hilarious, especially with my girlfriend has as much interest in cars as I do. Her car of choice is a BMW 1800 though.. Hey at least it's german.
