In the doghouse AGAIN!!

I hate clutter.
Wifey thinks every open space needs to be filled.
I hate clutter.
After many heated discussions, I decided to be sneaky
Once or twice a week I would remove one piece of junk.
Three weeks in she finally notices.
Oh my.
Her "This is our house, I should be able to decorate how I want"
Me "If it's our house, shouldn't I have a say too?
Apparently that was the wrong thing to say.
Wish me luck!!

Good luck!

At least the disagreement isn’t about money. The best way to resolve marital money matters is to make two piles of it: ‘Hers’ and ‘Ours’.

Been there, its hard to work through to anyone's comfort level.

Good luck to ya!

My ex wanted her mess more than she wanted me.

House is hers. Garage and mancave are mine

Honesty is not always the best policy. "Honey, I don't remember that particular piece of bric-a-brac and don't know what you're talking about".

Thanks guys!
Need to learn to shut up.
"It makes me happy to look at that stuff."
"Well, than go look in the garbage can!!"
Yup, wrong answer number two!!

You didn't say that did ya.

If you did you will be sleeping in the trash can

BK911 02-01-2019 05:27 PM

Yea I said it.
But in my defense, I'm a dck.
But she knew that before we married, so it's her fault.
Right?
Yea I know, flowers and chocolate.

Yes, same story here. Good luck dude.

Flowers and chocolates? Hell, no.

Go drop a couple hundred on a pile of new junk, wrap it up purdy, and give it to her.

Have visited a lot of homes. Most are like my brother's. Nothing in the house or even garage is "His." In fact, my brother doesn't have his own hobbies ar activities. He won't say but think his motto must be "Happy wife, happy life."

BK - You have my sympathy........Same boat here.

She wasn't riding her snowmobile. I sold it while she was in Europe with her cousin a year and half ago. To date, she hasn't missed it and never asks about it.......

drcoastline 02-01-2019 06:10 PM

May I suggest one of these in the back yard? A bit more comfortable than the dog house.

I myself have a mini woodstove, a natures head and a cot in the shed.

wdfifteen 02-01-2019 06:12 PM

I feel your pain. I don’t fight it, all the crap makes her happy, and that’s what’s important.

fastfredracing 02-01-2019 06:28 PM

i started to write a reply to this thread, and it got me so pissed that I deleted the whole thing.
let me just say, i feel your pain brother .

Love your wrong answer #2. Classic. We’ve all been there, good luck

Clutter and a messy house can definitely cause marital/ family problems.
Check out this show for some inspiration.
Your wife might decide to try the ‘konmarimethod’

Why does the woman always get the right to have the whole house? No way. I have my man-cave, she has her same size area... the rest of the house is shared and therefore agreed/compromised on..
