I think it looks awesome. :D

I actually bought a cheap one. We were going to try to make it fit on the back of the i3.

I need one to put on the back of my Volt.

They have a trailer hitch plug that looks like a claymore mine...

Not a poser. A 5” tip on a dually will look small, especially black. I run a 4” exhaust - 6” tip and think it’s perfect. The 7’a and 8’s are terrible. I really dig the down turns on a dually too.

Yup, goes well with the proposed flatbed. Don't forget the massive cab guard and cattle pusher front bumper.

It'd turn some heads on a 356 too :)

I have neglected cosmetically " Kong " my diesel 4x4 dually for too long . So recently have started doing some paint touch up , debadging and just cleaning her up . She is a 2001 but only has 169,000 miles and runs well . I am having some checkered flag graphics being designed for the hood and fenders/doors . I'm also waiting on a quote to have the lower part of the doors/rockers covered with Line X .

A few weeks ago I removed the muffler and replaced it with a straight pipe , being a turbo the muffler really isn't needed . With my stock 3 1/2 " diameter piping she has a nice growl to her but not too loud . But I'm thinking about finishing off the exhaust by installing an exhaust tip . Hence my question ( sorry for the long intro ) . Would installing this tip make me some kind of poser ? I personally think diesels look and sound good with these larger tips but I don't want to come off as a knuckle dragging goofball :( So some feedback please .

David yeah I'm trying NOT to be that guy ! Cabmando I do agree with your comments but the exhaust pipe just looks unfinished . And with dual rear tires to my eye is out of proportion that's the reason for the larger tip . I think going from 3 1/2 " to 5 " is reasonable and will look good . Plus I forgot to mention I am pulling the OEM bed off and replacing with a steel flatbed , there will be more open space to view the current setup . I think I've made up my mind .

While they might go with the flat bed they won't work well with my truck camper . I am going to have a cab guard to protect the back window but it will be understated in size . No cattle pusher on the front I'll leave that for the Texans . I'm going to start a " build " thread soon to chronicle the transformation .

30 years ago that tip would have stood out. Today it would barely get a glance from anyone for being out of place.

Looks good, buy it.

Great, now I'm getting pop up ads for 5 inch exhaust tips.

Should I buy one for my GMC Sierra ?
