Solo - No spoilers please
Being what it is I plan to see regardless but I was curious. Has anyone seen it yet?
It released last night in Australia.

Nope. Not gonna, either.
C4 happens every Memorial weekend here (Cherry Capitol Comic Convention). Daughter is a 501 brigadier and sews Star Wars costumes in accordance with Lucasfilms specs. There will be little talk of Solo at C4 is my guess. 'Sellout' = Death in the minds of hardcore Star Warriors. Well, for this one it does anyway. |

Directed by Opie! Should be great.

Opie may save the franchise.
I think he should tell his own story and make his own movie. But, then again, maybe he's already been doing just that since day one. |

Deadpool 2 and Solo are on my watch list. Not sure if this weekend will be good, as theatres are probably going to be packed.

I liked it. The plot really comes together in the second half. I guess I can't say any more. Spoilers, you know.

Saw it last night and thought it was one of the best in the series so far. As good as Rogue One in my opinion. Was a little concerned about a few of the comments and things I had heard online before it opened.
Lots of good performances. Won't go into them now to prevent spoilers.

We enjoyed it. Nice plot. I am a little tired of the Star Wars brand however. It is difficult to keep up the pace.
That said, I really like the Rey/Finn movies. |

Loved it. It ties up loose ends but does leave one big one hanging (a possible / predictable open door to another Disney money-maker...). All in all very good.

I still think Rogue was the best of the reboot hands down.
Solo, the actor playing Solo was in over his head. He was not very convincing. The actor playing Lando nailed his part and was very good. Woody was good as usual. The backstories are told and done somewhat decent, some real tense moments in the film really had me going. All in all it was a good movie, I felt the casting of Han was not well picked but kind of worked. My wife immediately noticed Emilia Clark she did a good job as well, it took me a bit to notice it was her, I guess because she had her top on. ![]() We went last night as a family and enjoyed it, worth a look on the big screen.

So was it the usual Disney “men are incompetent and have to be shown what to do by a woman” fare? Inquiring minds and all that...

No none of that, but there was a SJW female robot, that I actually found funny.

Not at all. Solo was The Man. It was perhaps the most traditional of the modern Star Wars movies, tying in to the original movies fairly well.

Just saw Solo. The kids and I enjoyed it.
Gotta love $5 Tuesday’s at the movies. I also am getting a little tired of the same movies over and over again but Solo is well made. Nice to see Opie still puts his brother in every movie.
