Anyone read Chinese? What does this say? Someone I know has this tattoo. What does this symbol mean? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1550636680.jpg |

Fook. But I'm not sure. I've only had it said to me "fook yo." |

Mrs. Lee says it's not Chinese. |

This isn't a close friend... someone I know from a couple of FB groups. I think he said it's supposed to be "universe"... or maybe "friendship." I have no experience with Chinese or Japanese but it's never looked right to my untrained eye. |

Modern Japanese and Korean writing is based on the old style Chinese characters, so there is some commonality between the written languages. Someone from China in their 40s or older learned enough of the ancient writing to be able to read Japanese and Korean, even though the spoken languages are completely different. Those aren't real characters from any Asian language. They may be stylized from the original characters that are supposed to mean something, but those are not authentic characters. |

Now that doesn't look Chinese to me, haha. I can read traditional Chinese to a certain extent, and some Japanese kanji characters are the same. Korean is a whole different ball game. |

I’m Chinese and I’ll probably never tattoo myself with any characters. I filed those with tribal arm bands. |
