Palm Springs

Just arrived a few hours ago. Cold and rainy. Looking forward to car auction coming soon. Worst weather in ten years.

Tell us if/how much you enjoyed Modernism Week. I’m a big fan of MCM architecture & design.

I like PS. Makes a person feel young. Good restaurant is Kaisers near downtown. Have not been for a couple of years. Weather is crappy now. Hope it gets better.

There were some cool 911 billboards on Dinah Shore a month ago, at least five or six showing different models of the 911. I noticed them as I was headed Eastbound toward Cathedral City from Palm Springs.

We have been coming here for MW for the last ten years or so. Krazy about MCM. Try the Orbit Inn or the Hideaway.

All I remember about PS is my aunt and uncle spent about 4-5 days a weeks at their PS home, and came back to their LA home the rest of the week. The weather was supposed to be much better in PS. Their house was near Bob Hopes.

Trini Lopez played last night, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top showed up for a surprise visit. That would have been cool to see!

All I know about Palm Springs is that my son is no fan of 29 Palms.

I've been to PS for modernism week once and it was a ton of fun. Went with an ex gf who was an artist and very educated in MCM. The art museum is great. Stayed at the Orbit In which was a blast. Hiked in the mountains. Toured the Frey House II, saw the exhibits. Terrific trip and we lucked out with the weather. I can see why people love it there.

When we were hiking there we could see Bob Hope's old house. Coincidentally on another hike we met the son of Bob Hope's personal chef. Interesting people out there.
