Areas like " the zoo " and " F troop " to name just a few . I've seen it all in the years I attended when I lived in Orlando . Open sales areas for pot and other drugs , guys lined up for cheap BJ's in the back of a box truck , porn mags scattered all over the infield areas , flashing of breasts and on and on ........... it was one huge PARTY !!! I think the event organizers are trying to tame the beast but it has a loooooong reputation and it will take a while to tame her . That and folks getting older . The worst I ever saw was a grandma in her 80's walking around in a$$less hot pants with no underwear ....... needed a heavy dose of eye bleach to get rid of that image !!! I won't be going this year but hope to get there again in the future .........
Yep, gotta love the Zoo!! Sebring cruisers rock!
Got to be careful walking through there, between the contact high, flying beers, mud bogs ect.

Byron you have probably seen a lot more than I have ! Yeah one year I went there was a very large sail boat in the infield .......... was quite funny to see it parked amongst the tents and RV's . The spectator vehicles/rigs are a sight to see in their creativity . I have not been to a lot of race tracks but the one's that I have gone to NOTHING compares to Sebring it is a very unique fan experience .

One year it rained so much that my oldest son and I were walking in shin deep water as we walked the perimeter of the track . Another year I went solo and by accident walked into F troop ............ felt like I had entered a time warp ! I watched a few hours of the WEC race last night , the place did look packed I hope everyone enjoyed the race . Looking forward to watching today's race .

Unless I missed it I don't see Jorg Burgmeister's name on the drivers list . Anyone know if he's driving this race ? Or is he now racing in Europe ? I always like Jorg .

He was in the WEC race last night. Their 911 burned to the ground in testing on Sunday and a new car was shipped from Germany, so there wasn't much time to get it set up. Toyota (Alonso/Buemi/Nakajima) won the WEC race last night.

Not sure why more drivers are not doing both the WEC and the 12 Hour. I thought Alonso would for sure since the Daytona-winning Caddy is there and a seat was open for him.

Interesting race. Anyone know why the 911s did so bad in the rain? They dropped like slugs during the rain. Amazing finish.
The #9 GTD car looked so good for so long. Real shame for them.

I think the # 911 + 912 both had a " dry setup " and that's why their performance was off in the rain . Fantastic come back by the # 911 congrats to them . Overall the TV experience did not disappoint . Lots of passing and good shots/comments/interviews of the spectators . I nearly lost it laughing when they interviewed two of the " cow guys " For those of you that never have been to Sebring there is a group of guys ( 4 - 5 ) that walk around in white/black cow suits complete with udders . Chicks like pulling on the udders for photo ops guys just like to tip a beer to them . Just part of the Sebring experience

Cadillac 1-2-3. Amazing cars. Awesome sound. Normally-aspirated V8 based on CTS-V engine and built by Richard Childress Racing. Although I believe the race engine has less HP than the street car!

After several years, We finally have the most westward RV spot at the turn 16 exit.

This year, Because of the WEC race, the pits started 25 feet from our coach. Pretty cool.

We also have a hotel room every year for the evening hours. The last pic is the view from the balcony...

DL

p.s. Stopped by my buddy's garage in Tampa to see his new GT2 rs, Gt3 rs and AMG GTR... kind of a harsh irony that the fellas who own so many of these great cars won't make time to drive them....
