I went last year and really enjoyed it. Great venue but plan on getting to the show field as early as you can. Only one road in & out and traffic can build up fast.

It might be a little further to drive to the island, but use Hecksher Drive (105, but becomes A1A by the St. John's river ferry) instead of 95. It is not only a much more scenic drive, but you avoid the big construction mess through Yulee.

In case you didn't notice, there are photos of that very same car (which gave Porsche its first class win at Le Mans back in '51) in your link ![]()

I'll change the title of my album. I thought from the look of the background of the photo was actually taken at the Amelia the following day.

Any locals that can give me an idea of how long it takes to get from Jacksonville air port to Amelia Island with the event traffic congestion?

Make sure you call ahead for reservations for restaurants on the island. Most will take them, and they will be full.

Paul, most of the pictures are from Werks Fest. A few were from Cars and Coffee the next day. They moved the car mentioned above from where you took the pictures to a different place later that morning when they chatted with the owner. You can also see the PCA executives in their funky PCA pants in the background.

Wow, an hour. Only looks to be 20 miles or so. I’m only doing Friday and Saturday so no worries about the auction traffic on Sunday

Thanks Paul.
Hey - that's me and my ride. ...wiping off 973 miles of road salt/gravel/grime after the drive down. I'll be there there this year as well - stop by and say 'howdy Pelican'. Bill K https://www.flickr.com/photos/ury914/45176318584/in/album-72157675223946348/

The 46 car is Rod Emory's 'barn find' Le Mans winner.
