I went last year and really enjoyed it. Great venue but plan on getting to the show field as early as you can. Only one road in & out and traffic can build up fast.

It might be a little further to drive to the island, but use Hecksher Drive (105, but becomes A1A by the St. John's river ferry) instead of 95. It is not only a much more scenic drive, but you avoid the big construction mess through Yulee.

Never heard of a "Werks Fest." but that photo was definitely taken at the 2018 Werks Reunion at Amelia Island, FL.

In case you didn't notice, there are photos of that very same car (which gave Porsche its first class win at Le Mans back in '51) in your link

Pardon me, I stand corrected. I'll change the title of my album.
I thought from the look of the background of the photo was actually taken at the Amelia the following day.

Any locals that can give me an idea of how long it takes to get from Jacksonville air port to Amelia Island with the event traffic congestion?

It will depend on when you leave, but I would say an hour would be good. Maybe some of the Jax people would know better. I'm on the island already so I do not really have to contend with it. Thursday and Friday traffic should be OK, Saturday will be a mess and you could get stuck in traffic pretty badly around the time Cars and Coffee ends. It will be worse if there is a threat of rain on Sunday and they move the Concours to Saturday as well.

Make sure you call ahead for reservations for restaurants on the island. Most will take them, and they will be full.

Paul, most of the pictures are from Werks Fest. A few were from Cars and Coffee the next day. They moved the car mentioned above from where you took the pictures to a different place later that morning when they chatted with the owner. You can also see the PCA executives in their funky PCA pants in the background.

Wow, an hour. Only looks to be 20 miles or so. I’m only doing Friday and Saturday so no worries about the auction traffic on Sunday

It is normally about 30-40 minutes depending on the route you take. But as I said there is a lot of road construction in Yulee (one of the two routes you can take). The other is a little longer, and you are basically where you need to be for Werks at the first traffic circle on the island.

Let me know if you need recommendations for food on the island.

Thanks Paul.
Hey - that's me and my ride. ...wiping off 973 miles of road salt/gravel/grime after the drive down.
I'll be there there this year as well - stop by and say 'howdy Pelican'.

Nice photo - Manny Alban, John Oates, (Hall & Oates), Rod Emory.
The 46 car is Rod Emory's 'barn find' Le Mans winner.
