My helper has been our of town so I had my favorite shop install some parts on the truck.
Big rear sway bar, on a race car or a truck sway bars look cool to me. :)

Had some cracked ceramic tiles in the entry/porch and ordered replacements. This morning I started ripping up old tiles and discovered the subfloor was delaminating. Great. I guess water from boots wicked through the cracks and soaked the plywood.
Spent the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon cutting out the affected areas and grafting in solid plywood.
Maybe tomorrow I can lay tiles. Only 36 pieces.
I love retirement.

Do you need to be certified to work on these?

(I found this unused Continental id tag in a box of dad's stuff. I thought it was pretty cool that you could get stuff like this to make your Piper or TCraft perfect.)

Yes for certified, licensing is required not for experimental. This hangs on a 63 150 so my ia buddy is walking me through it as an apprentice. Turns out my Cylinder kits came from superior without wrist pins... go figure pistons, Cylinders, rings, valves, and springs.... no pins... got it, hurry up and wait. Guess I'll be back at the pacer wings tomorrow.

This showed up today. It's an adapter to fit a Lycoming hubbed sensenich carbon stol prop to our 220hp franklin.

I need to find a picture of the 2 cyl. VW motor my dad's best buddy built. Yep. Cut two cylinders off a VW motor, probably a 1300, adapted a propeller and hung it onto the front of an airplane he designed and built himself, and then took off into the wild blue yonder.

I don't have that kind of confidence, suffice it to say.

My wife's mechanical sewing machines have decided to cause problems, all (3) at the same time.
So, while waiting on a screw (yup, I lost it on reassembly. Smallest screw I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen some small ones. I'll get a picture of it when the replacement comes.) so I can put it right again, I modified a needle plate from a long gone machine to fit her old Singer Featherweight as a stitch guide plate.

Wipe some WD40 on the clean lens, some thinks it helps keep them clear.

Lowing the skill level logarthmically, how do you get bug guts out of a garden hose nozzle? I bought the nozzle months ago but had not used it until today. I had the pressure on full but was only getting minimal pressure and erratic spray. After some time, I noticed gooey bits and stuff coming out the nozzle. I picked them out and it became a regular process that improved the spray but nowhere near what I would expect from a new nozzle. A look down the hose end of the nozzle showed no obstructions. I am not sure if I can attach a pressure washer to the nozzle to blow any remaining bits out.

What nozzle do y’all like to use to wash a car?

Going to the track next weekend, so I raised the car on jack stands, secured the front bumper to the newly modified front fenders, replaced a coolant hose, and remove the tires so I could bleed the brakes.

I’ll take the rear wheels to the tire shop to get the tires mounted on a new set of wheels. This will allow me to not use a spacer. I spent so much time and effort on bolt on spacers, but just did not feel comfortable with them. Should’ve done this ages ago.
