Shame Ferrari and Mercedes opted out of it. Will give a look though forgot that was released.

Yeah, i was pretty disappointed that Ferrari n Mercedes opted out as well, but maybe there was no drama in their 2018 season. Hahaha.
Definitely worth the watch though.

I would love to see behind the scenes at Mercedes the year Nico won WDC. I imagine it was so toxic that it was a big part of the reason Nico decided to walk away.

Have binged three episodes this morning. I didn't mind the lack of coverage of the top two teams, we got them enough all year. I enjoyed finding out more about the other sixteen drivers and others in the teams.

Great series. Watched all 10 episodes in 4 days. I'll be watching F1 with renewed interest this season, feeling empathy for some drivers and antipathy for others.

Indycar should commission that same film crew; it would do wonders for the sport.

Edit, 10 episodes in 3 days.

This is on my binge list. Today was all about the Indycar season opener at St. Pete.

I've watched the first episode. I will watch the rest to make sure Netflix knows I'm interested in F1. But TBH the first one was a bit disappointing. If you follow F1 closely, you can see how they've taken some pretty thin story lines and made them the main focus. Right off the bat. Danny Ric being a make or break year last year and fighting for the WDC? Nope, that was never on the cards. No one expected Red Bull to be challenging last year. It was always Merc V Ferrari with RB aiming to try and catch up from way before testing started. Lot's of reality TV make drama out of molehills. Also the predictable 'let's splice all the crashes together and then show them every five mins to make it look like non stop carnage on track. Some great shots though. and some good interviews.

I binged it... It's fantastic end to end if you're a F1 fan and still pretty good if not (my wife stuck around for some of it) - and I think it's better because Ferrari and Mercedes weren't in it... It's basically more focused on the lesser teams and very cool because of that...
Gave me a new appreciation for Gunther Steiner (the most german sounding italian guy I ever heard), Ricciardo, Sainz, Ocon, etc... It's amzing they got some of that secret info so early and did nto leak it - like Ricciardo leaving...

The juxtaposition of Horner firing Renault (and the visible pain on renault's manager's face) - followed next episode by the renault manager stealing ricciardo from red bull (and the pain on horner's face), was like perfect TV drama... can't script this...

I'm open for suggestions; are there other, better documentaries from last years World Championships featuring fatter story lines? Hopefully in English...

I watched the first episode the other day. I liked it. Even if they've added some drama, it's still interesting and a side that I don't normally see. Granted, these days, any side would be a side that I don't normally see.

Started watching last night... thought it was going to be a documentary on the history of F1... but really like it and will continue watching.

I'd like to see more of the wimmens, especially in Monaco. The on board video of Verstappen hitting the barrier was awesome.

Watched 8 episodes this past weekend … fantastic series! Amazing look behind the scenes that really gives a great perspective on what the F1 circus is like. It shows a great mix of drama and humor.

Agree with the comments above regarding Horner and the RS Director, then to have the video of the RS Director saying "now you need a driver and an engine" … classic. Also interesting to hear the colorful radio exchanges from the drivers as you definitely don't hear those on TV as well as the perspectives of the drivers as they are battling for seats.

Couple of things that made me laugh out loud were:
1) when someone asked Guenther Steiner how many people Haas had on their team … he responded very proudly 200 something and the person replied "Mercedes has more than that on holiday today"
2) When Horner was touring his property and showing his daughters the family donkeys he called them Max and Daniel after they took each other out in the prior race.

Highly recommend this series.

I think we're seeing the problem with F1 today.
