I’m done with the traveling roadshow! (Public speaking)
It’s been a long time since I posted that thread. I was honestly scared ****less.
I presented for one hour+ total at 14 classes around the state of California. Made a bunch of new friends. Had countless gut wrenching laughs. What a great experience! My public speaking fear is quashed. My instructor group actually changed the format of the class forever. We engaged the classroom in an informal group discussion format. They really responded positively. No sleeping students. No one on their phones. Our jokes and banter really worked. Next years class lead instructor was told to do it the way we did it. He is a bit of a robot. He’s effed. Thanks for the encouraging words early on from some of you. It helped more than you know. I’m in my last class. We finish up Friday! Yeehaw! |

Knew it! Feel proud knowing that you conquered something that causes paralyzing fear in the average person.

Congrats. Another skill set is now yours, one that might present you with some good opportunities in the future. Here’s hoping you had a few pleasant evenings on the road, with a fine meal or a good book.

We had confidence in you from the start. You show a great amount of wit here which translated into a smooth public persona. I bet you found out like lots of other people thrust into public presentation or teaching situations that if you have a good personality and sense of humor, it shines through and makes it like catching a wave on a surfboard.

You say "Yee Haw!" now, but if you were really enjoying it, you will feel something is missing in your life until you go on tour again.
Then you're hooked. Best Les
