I've always enjoyed the music, but I don't speak German, so I cannot comment on their lyrics.

But I did find this awhile back.

Somehow, Eizenhower's deliberate starving of a million plus German POWs is not talked about.

Also not talked about is the two million German civilian families 'displaced' or killed from the Danzig and coastal areas which was part of Germany before (rightly or wrongly).

Nor is Churchill and Stalin's agreement to divide up Poland entirely on their own.

Nor is Russian military buildup along the German border, and the Judea banking/merchant declaration of war upon the German people(who were already completely devastated by the economic sanctions of the Treaty of Versailles), as well as the rash of outside infiltration and communist coup attempts everywhere.

Germany just recently paid off WW1 debt, and is still being made a slave country to outsider control and terms made 75 years ago. They can't even possess their own gold stocks. The 'international banking system' has forced total control over it's politics and people. We now see the result of that.


Actually most WW2 history is skipped over completely by our school systems here....

Clicked on this thread because I grew up on Ramstein AFB. Never really listened to the band, and didn't know (so says Wikipedia) that their name was originally taken from the Ramstein Flugtag crash in 1988 - - that tragic event happened just a week after my family had returned to the States.

Not my first choice in music, but I bet they put on a great show.

They put on an unreal show. Here is their complete show in Berlin. Unfortunately the sound quality is meh in places and good in others but it does convey the concert theatrical experience. The encores are the best.

seen them several times, both state side and overseas...I have a picture of myself with Flake, somewhere. At one point, in about 2001, I was hosting all of the videos on my server from herzeleid.com when it was active.

Germany has some great music. Rammstein is probably the most well known over here, but only scratches the surface. My favorite band is probably Die Toten Hosen, but I also like some of Megaherz's slower stuff (Für Immer, Einsam) and also like Unheilig. Auch, Helene Fischer is hot. ;)

My 25yo son want to go to Europe and see them this summer. I said it sounded like a good idea.

Of course this is the same son that left some concert tickets sitting on the kitchen counter years ago when he lived at home that were for GWAR. I asked him how was GWAR since I listened to them back when I was in my 20's. He said he just went for the opening act and didn't stay for GWAR!!!
