I'd bet he's focused upon timing the buzzer....the answer is easy? I can "speed read".... do they see the question also? Well....that's how I'd win a million $ for playing a game for less than 7 hours....ea$y pea$y ;)....

Close one tonight. Kind of a weak FJ clue I thought.
I thought it odd James wasn't going for the 1K and 2k clues as much. Toying with his prey? |
I thought it was cool that he twice calculated his winnings to match his wedding day or something like that.
Guys a freak. It was a really weak FJ clue. I still got it wrong. |

Seeing contestants hitting DJ and then betting the usual $2K when playing him just makes me think WTF are you doing, playing to be the $2000 2nd place winner cause you aren't going to beat him doing that ?? |
It looked to me like James was sandbagging just to make things interesting.
Oops. Then he got serious and walked away again. His FJ wager was exactly just enough to win. James did applaud the guy’s pluck earlier, though. |

I think the whole world was pulling for him to get that one right....lol..... |
:D:D I wonder if he is getting bored ?? Even winning gets old. Probably not.
|
So is he still standing?

I noticed that in the first round of both today's and yesterday's matches, the single DD was in one of the $1000 squares. Coincidence? Or is the show trying to mess with James' strategy of going for the high-dollar picks first? Forcing him to play the DD so early in the round keeps his score from going off the charts early on and could maybe give the other players a little hope. |

From James Holzhauer's hometown newspaper, The Naperville Sun: "According to Andy Saunders on The Jeopardy Fan, Levin’s $53,999 was the highest-ever regular-play, non-winning score in the history of the show, and is the 21st-highest final score of all time. Holzhauer’s $54,017 is 20th. The previous record was held by Michael Cudahy, who won $44,400 on June 25, 2004. Ironically, it was the same day “Jeopardy!” champion Ken Jennings had his 18th win toward his streak that would end at 74 games. Saunders also mentioned that Monday’s game was the first time Holzhauer bet $10,117 on a Daily Double, making sure to say “Vegas Strong” in reference to the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas on Oct. 1, 2017." |
Another $100k day. Now over $1.5 million.

Usually, people with his kind of mind don’t have a sense of humor, which he, of course does have.
It’s actually scary to think somebody can have such a memory, such lightening calculation speed AND a sense of humor. I hope he doesn’t crash and burn like a lotta beautiful minds seem to. I wonder what a usual day for him is like. |
