Bichez!

Back at it.....woof, woof....

Well a snap ring and a fuel line isn't bad for an 86, but those older KC911s are apt to let go without any notice.

Not on any new meds, I hope...

KC911 you need to chill out , life too short to stress out over something that someone else said . It's just words . Spend some quality time with that pup . It will do you good . Take care

^^ Is that a chocolate lab ? Good looking pup that looks like he/she is interested in the water :D Unfortunately my wife and I are heading to our vet today with one of our weiner dogs , he's 16 years old and it may be " that time " :( We have had him the entire 16 years so this is going to hurt . Good luck with your mental health and give that pup a pat on the head for me .

KFC911 04-24-2019 04:02 AM

They bring such joy...then it hurts on days like today. My pup's a champion...like a lot of Pelicans...best to you....and thank you.

Good news Mickey our 16 year old lives for the immediate future . He apparently has strained neck muscles and/or the vertabra in that area . For now drugs and rest ....... being 16 all he does is rest ! We take him back to the vet next Wednesday for a follow up. I am glad we didn't have to put him down .

KFC911 04-24-2019 12:23 PM

^^^^ That's awesome....Long may he run...
Yellow Layla awaits Mickey on the other side....Moka sez give Micky a treat....;)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1556137410.jpg

We have been very fortunate with the trio of daschunds. Mickey who's real name is Michelob ( yep that's what I drink ) is 16 and we have had him for 16 years . Sophie our female is also 16 we adopted her and we've had her for about 13 years . And then there is Dexter he is 14 years old and we have had him for about 12 years . Dexter is partially paralyzed in the rear legs but he doesn't know it and he's the tough guy of the bunch . We love these little doggies and try to make every day special . We know the clock is ticking . But today was a good day and Mick has had plenty of treats and drugs ......... he looks quite content !

I've had a dog nearly my entire life.
My last little doggy was half doxy. He died a few years ago. Don't think I could do that again, maybe after I retire.

It is always hard when you lose one . I am also a long time dog owner , I don't remember a time we didn't have one . We have had doxies , beagle , Weimaraner , lab , Springer spaniel and more doxies . Dogs like people run the gamut of styles and behavior traits . They each bring something to the table and give love 24/7 . Can't ask for more than that from man's best friend .
