Any Guitarists here?

Just curious if anyone here plays guitar as well as myself.

been playing for 17 years

1972 Fender Stratocaster, bullet headstock updated with Lace Sensors and Floyd Rose tremolo.

1999 Fender Telecaster, neck re-profiled to "V" shape

1981 Gibson ES335, PAF's replaced with Seymour Duncans

1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb Silverface, all original, now even the tubes are NOS! Thanks, Jeff!

1968 Marshall 100 watt Plexi clone, built using Marshall schematics, running through a custom built 4 X12 enclosure with Celestion 100 watt speakers. I even have a custom gain knob that goes to 11!

Line 6 POD 2.0 for the rectified sounds and everything else.

Tubes Rock!

I've been playing guitar for 3 years (I don't have worth bragging about). But two of my friends (guitarists in my band) have marshall full stack, gibson explorer, hughes and ketner half stack, Fender Tom delonge series, and about 4 other guitars...?

I've played drums for 6 years. Right now I've just got a 5 piece pearl export, sabian cymbals, and pearl maple free floating piccolo snare. ...Saving up for that OCDP (I kind of doubt anyone here knows what that is)

Just to clarify: I may own a few guitars, but my playing is shown up whenever my cats walk across the piano.

I've seen you guys at Paladino's! You guys rock! (your bass player is a hottie) Megadeth stuff is not easy to play. I always thought Dave Mustaine was one of the most under-rated guitarists n the world.

Hey Jared,

Thanks for the compliments! I agree the Marty Friedman solos have been some of the toughest material I've had to learn...hands down!! When did you see us at Paladino's? We're playing again over there in May, so if you can make it down that would be great..we can have a beer and talk about Porsches afterwards!

Later,
Im originally from Thousand Oaks, so I'm very familiar with the tribute band scene. Paladino's has always been one of my favorite places to see local bands. The sound system there is awesome. Beer's on me at the next show.

(listenin to Peace Sells.. at this very moment!)

Hey axeman, Ive heard about you guys, Ive heard your stuff before.,.,.,., You guys are good . Do you know the MetallicA cover band Creeping Deth. I kinda know Brian who use to play with them, first Rguitar, then bass before he left..

I dont find daves Rhythm to be that hard (just learned Hook In Mouth, Working on Holy Wars,..,whoooo), but his solo`s are mind blowing to learn. Which one are you in the band?

Then there's the Atomic Punks who are just incredible.

Creeping Death is AWESOME! I highly reccomend anybody who likes "real" Metallica check them out.

Hey axeman, how about a tribute cover of "four horsemen" with Creeping Death and Hangar 18 together?

Creeping Death are actually really good friends of us and we play very often together. I guess people really get into the whole Metallica/Megadeth stuff.. You guys should check them out since they have their new bass player, what a difference!! They really kick a$$ now. It's funny because we actually did a joke one time, where CD was playing Four Horsemen, and Will (who's Mustaine in my band) went on stage and stopped the song and told the crowd "this is how it supposed to sound"..and he went into Mechanix..that was fun. Atomic Punks are my favorite, I know those guys really well, they are just the best tribute ever...I'm actually going over to Paladino's tonight to check them out.

LOL, The Atomic Punks, love those guys. They come up to vegas alot, so did Creeping Deth. AP guitar player left to play with Dave Lee Roth didnt he? I know he left Atomic Punks to play somewhere.

Of course people love the Met/ Deth thing. They are extentions of them selfs. I find it funny, that still to this day, Meg and Met fans STILL war over the Dave leaving, Daves better thing. I mean, its been 20 years now, get over it, and enjoy the music.

Yup, the Punks original guitarist left to join DLR's band.

The whole Met. Meg. thing is pretty funny.

For those not in the know, Dave Mustaine, singer/guitarist for megadeth, was the original guitarist for Metallica, but they kicked him out because he was a drunk.

I heard Dave found God recently and got himself clean. Good for him.
